Cute outdoor restaurant, great vegan menu - Edit
A whole vegan menu with mostly salads, pizzas and pasta. Plus nibbles, sides, and deserts.
Read moreApparently one of the owners is vegan, hence the extensive menu!
The ambience is really nice, mostly outdoors with a small inside area. Can get chilly so wrap up warm but they do also have blankets!

Hidden garden in Southsea - Edit
Tucked away down Florence Road, The Garden opens in May until September each year so far and I always ensure to pop in at least once. The have a separate vegan menu and for kids they have a vegan burger with chips (if you didn't want to order off the full menu for them). This year's options include pizzas, light bites and the grilled corn 'ribs ' are back, with a avocado dressing this time. They have a good selection of desserts and the setting is really lovely.

Mediterranean Feel - Edit
Visited shortly after their 2022 opening. This restaurant is hidden away in a side street, I didn't realise it was there until we were upon it. Although the garden sits directly on the road, it is very quiet. It is a good-sized courtyard with trees and things that really makes you forget you are in a Portsmouth backstreet. There is some indoor seating available, but the idea is to sit outside. They have a dedicate vegan menu although I was a little confused because the desserts menu is identical to their normal desserts menu, so not sure if this means all their desserts are vegan or not - I would definitely double check before ordering. I did actually contact them to ask if they served vegan hot chocolate and they sent me a very thoughtful and informative answer (yes they do) which I really appreciated, apparently several of the staff are vegan. There are not quite as many options on the vegan menu as I first thought because of the way it is laid out but still enough for multiple visits, especially if you like pizza. I had the creole spiced corn ribs, which were very nice, although the chips were a little soggy. It has a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff so I would definitely recommend on a sunny day in Southsea.
