We love this place

I love the build your own mochi waffle, all the bases are vegan. You can choose your own toppings and they have coconut whipped cream! They also have waffles fries and Dole Whip. Many drinks can be made with plant based milk. A fun place to hang out.

Pros: A parklet , Lots of seating, Good variety

Cons: Can get loud inside

Not much to offer

Waffle fries were satisfying and the mochi waffle was a novelty, but nothing really special. I had the plain waffle with strawberries, chocolate sauce, and coconut whip. My friend was pleased to find gluten free fish and chips (waffle fries).

Counter staff were fairly dismissive. It was crowded and we were able to eat at a table outside, but not play games. Virtually no one wearing masks.

Fun and yummy!

The vegan mochi waffle had just the right combination of chewy and crunchy texture and there were plenty of plant based toppings including non-dairy coconut whip. I’m glad they finally added a salad option. The staff were very pleasant and checked in on our group as we were playing games, providing a game cart to hold all the games we wanted to play. We came on a weeknight for a co workers birthday and there were plenty of tables available in the early evening, though it did fill up as the night went along. For $5/person there is unlimited game play. The coffee bar was awesome and I had a very delicious almond milk latte. Can’t wait until they add Oatly milk to the options! I appreciate that in addition to delicious treats they also provide an environment for people to engage w each other and get off their screens. It did get louder as more people were playing, but I’m sure we were one of the groups that added to the ruckus.. I didn’t mind it so much, as it was nice to be in the company of people who were enjoying themselves and having a good time. The outbursts from other groups would just alert me to check out what game they were playing so that I could grab it next time around!

Pros: Vegan mochi waffles-enuf said!, Friendly staff (been there 3 times), Tons of games (>700) to choose from)

Cons: More dessert/snack than dinner food for vegans, Go for the games, dessert, but not a huge meal , Long waits on weekend evenings

Great idea, poor execution

I really like the idea behind this place and when I first saw it, I was really excited to try it out. They are really busy a lot of the time especially in weekends, so I went online and made a reservation. You have to pay in advance twice the normal cost per person in order to make a reservation. The cost to play games per person if you just show up is $5 per person for an unlimited amount of time (no ins an outs). The cost per person if you reserve in advance is $10 per person. So, I paid for 6 people a week in advance. I show up for my reservation and there is no reserved table. I was furious. Luckily, a table opened up soon, but it was filthy and sticky and it took them a while to clean it off so we could put games on it.

They do have a LOT of games to pick from which is great. They have everything from card games like cards against humanity and set, to longer games like settlers of Catan, lots of games you've never heard of and even classics like chess and checkers. So we got some games and started playing.

They also sell food and drinks, including alcohol. I was excited to see vegan options on the menu like mochi waffles with toppings like peanut butter, fresh fruit, chocolate sauce and coconut whipped cream. We got chocolate waffles with peanut butter, bananas and blueberries and that was awesome! We also wanted something salty to share and they have popcorn on the menu, so I asked if any of the popcorn choices (they have 5 or 6 to choose from) were vegan. They looked at me blankly like they didn't understand what I was saying. So they went in the back and checked and they said that there were two type of popcorn they were sure were NOT vegan, but they didn't know about the rest. I said, that's not very helpful information. Again, they looked at me blankly and said they would check some more and come to our table and let me know.

After about 10 minutes they came to our table and said there was only one they were sure was vegan and that was the truffle parmesan popcorn. This time I looked at them blankly and said, "Isn't Parmesan cheese dairy?" And then they said oh yeah and apologized and walked away.

It would be so easy to have a vegan popcorn option or just plain with the option to put your own toppings. They also have ice cream but the only non dairy option is sorbet. In this day and age of endless vegan ice cream options it would be easy to have vegan ice cream. Then you could get a milk shake from them since they already have non dairy milk for coffee. They have a salad too tgat you can get without chicken and waffle fries, so there are some options, but I think they could do about better. I think you can bring your own food too, so next time I'll just bring popcorn.

Again, great idea for a cool place to go to do something different, but really poor execution. It's also really really loud in there! The floor is painted concrete and the walls are bare and the tables are solid wood, so, when it's packed in there it is an echo chamber fill of loud people laughing and talking and shouting. It's kinda hard to play an involved strategy game in a place like that, let alone hear the words of the person across the table from you. Oh well, maybe it will get better.

Pros: some vegan options, cool games

Cons: staff if clueless
