Great Sunday lunch

Cosy and friendly pub with (limited) vegan options. Had the seed roast Sunday lunch which was amazing and a large portion. Can recommend a visit if you are local.

Pros: Friendly staff , Great food

Cons: Limited vegan options

It Was Just Ok

Went for dinner, 2 vegans, omni’s. Vegans had the ‘sausage’ roll starter which was generous (but for £7.50) it should have been. Mains: 1 burger with fries (£13.95) and 1 roast spiced cauliflower with cous cous (£14.75). I’ve made better burgers at home but my oh enjoyed the cauliflower. Dessert was my favourite dish - caramel biscuit torte - a nice generous portion. I want to be wowed when I eat out but it was all just ok. I’d rather go to Wetherspoons as it’s much better value for food that’s pretty much the same.

Hidden Gem!

They have a whole vegan menu and staff are onto it 👍 We had the falafel, nut roast, squash curry, and apple pie. (See pics) loads of other dishes we want to go back to try 😋 Everything was delicious and you could tell a lot of thought had been put into them.

Lovely atmosphere and the beer garden looks brilliant for summer. Would give them 5 stars if HC allowed it for vegan-friendly places, would definitely recommend 🙂

Pros: Value, Creative dishes, Friendly staff

Cons: May be tricky to get to without a car
