With kindness made healthy food.

Happy there were so many vegan options. Also many non-dairy milk.
Enjoyed sitting there. Took two cakes, they were good. Not the over-sweet kinds. Bought a card, borrowed a pen, while my daughter was on the wifi. Just typical modern-parent-kid moment after a walk through The Vigeland park.

Pros: Many non-dairy milk options, Healthy, Very kind staff

Delicious, healthy food - perfect for a rainy day

Cozy cafe with an almost fully vegan menu. Most of the food is very healthy - they have soups, curries, bowls, etc. Lots of seating space that invites to stay there for a while.

Charming vegetarian cafe

Charming, little bit old style vegetarian cafe where most foods, but not all, are vegan. I've liked thisplace a lot during the years. This time I took away ready made auinoa salad that had tofu, hummus, veggies, tahini sauce. Lentil soup was tasty, too.

Good food

Super nice ambiance. Had the pumpkin curry and the avocado toast, both were fine. Cost around 25 euros.

Hidden gem

It was purely coincidence that we run into this restaurant. Officially it closes at 18.00 hr, and we came here 17.55, but we could still sit here and eat. The food was amazing, fresh and delicious. Staff was so amazing and kind, definitely recommend this place 100%.

Pros: Friendly Staff, Fresh food, Great value for money

Unfortunately underwhelming food

I went here for brunch over the weekend. The atmosphere is very nice and cozy and the staff was very friendly, so my expectations were high. Unfortunately, the avocado toast I tried was pretty underwhelming. The bread was nice, but one of the slices was covered with an iceberg lettuce salad and it was pretty hard to eat. I also tried the carrot cake though and that was very tasty! The barista also forgot parts of my order even though there were only a couple other people there. I think this place has a lot of potential, but I was a bit disappointed this time around.

Pros: Nice atmosphere , Friendly staff, Tasty carrot cake

Cons: Underwhelming avocado toast

The heart smells good

I’ve been to one of these restaurants inspired by Sri Chinmoy in Seattle and remember getting extremely culty vibes. Didn’t mind it, was just an interesting addition to the food. This one in Oslo is a bit less intense and the food is great. There is a lot of “propaganda” lying around, but world peace is hard to argue with. Ultimate world peace, I imagine, would mean that cows and chickens aren’t exploited for their dairy and eggs either, though. Just saying! Anyway, rant over. There was a good selection of food and the staff were friendly. You should go check it out.

Pros: Good selection of food

Cons: Not fully vegan

Try the dahl and the caramel slice!

The restaurant serves a variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes. The dahl is very good, so are some of the cakes. For a big, protein filled meal, I recommend the Mexican Bowl.

Delicious, cozy and friendly ✨

Visited for the first time today and was very pleasantly welcomed by the friendly staff. Many vegan choices, almost everything, so was difficult to choose 😁 Ended up sharing the fragrance of the heart-bowl and sourdough with hummus and avo and it was just delicious!
Filling, comforting, homemade feels💗
Had to try the berry cheesecake even though I was too full and it too was just meganice!
Cozy place and fresh bathroom with a salt lamp for extra points from me 😌
I’ll gladly come back 🥰

Good lunchplase

Offer light lunches like soups, wraps and cakes. This place makes one of the best caramel cakes I have ever had. Tasty and cheap.

My favorite lunch spot!

I see this place has gotten not soo good reviews here but as someone who has worked right next to it and had lunch here almost everyday i would definitely recommend it! They always have the wrap and they usually have a ciabatta with avocado, if they are not too busy they will make a fresh one for you if they don’t have any! Their soups and mains of the day is almost always vegan, just ask to make sure, their soups are delicious. What I can say is that they have a lot of people working there, and sometimes the quality can wary based on who’s working that day, so you might order the same 2 days in a row but it comes out a bit different. I would recommend it still!

Just OK

I met a Norwegian friend here for lunch. I had their greek spanakopita with soup and he had the quiche with soup. Neither of us were particularly impressed. Both dishes (with the exception of the soups) were heated in the microwave. The flavors were quite average and price was expensive for a quick lunch bite. I wouldn't return.

Barely acceptable

Cakes were dried out and not that tasty, drinks menu unspecific and unhelpful, staff incompetent and doing little except confusing one another. They have soy milk and things are labelled "vegansk", and that's all I can say that's positive. Also overpriced.

good

This is the larger of the two restaurants run by members of the Sri Chinmoy cult in Norway. It's in a fairly ice department store.

The food is clean and good, and they'll go out of their way for you if you're vegan.

This branch is closer to the train station.

Pros: close to station, nice environment, clean decent food

Cons: not all vegan, a little difficult to find the first time

Peaceful, beautiful and delicious

I love this cafe. The athmosphere is sooo peaceful, the interior is beautiful and the food is delicious. I think this is my favorite place to eat. Also: they have great juice :)
If - or when - you visit Oslo, you should definitely give this place a try.

Pros: Nice athmosphere, Great food, Friendly staff, even on busy days

A nice place for vegetarians

This vegetarian cafe is located on the ground floor of GlassMagasinet, a beautiful upscale department store right in the city center of Oslo and in walking distance from the central station. The cafe is closed in the evenings, so it is not the place to go for dinner - a pity, seen the limited vegetarian and vegan options in Oslo.

The place is mainly ovo-lacto, they have soups, sandwiches, wraps, cake and some lunch dishes. When I asked for vegan options I was first told there was only soup, but then the staff started to discuss with each other and in the end it turned out they had a vegan risotto and a cake. I felt a bit awkward since the food was not labelled as vegan and the staff was obviously not informed about the ingredients of the food. It was tasty, though, and it really seemed to be vegan.

I believe the place is great for vegetarians (and omnivores) who are in the area to have a quick tasty bite. As a vegan I'd wish they had more vegan options, "vegan" labels and better informed staff.

Pros: tasty food, location

Cons: not clear what is vegan, pricy

Not recommended for vegans

Nice place, nice staff, nice prices. However, the only reason I go there is because there aren't really any other places that serve a range of vegan foods in Oslo. I always ask the staff if something is vegan, and I have had it happen twice now that I've eaten something, come back and asked again and a different member of staff has told me it's not vegan. This is the last time I'll be going to this place. I would definitely recommend avoiding for vegans unless you want to get them to check every meal with the kitchen.

Pros: Cheap, Friendly staff

Cons: Inexperienced staff, Have been told non-vegan food is vegan

Lovely but small

This was a very nice place - bottom floor of the shopping centre - but only don't expect a huge choice for vegans. When we went there they only vegan option was hummus salad wraps and some biscuits. The wraps were very nice, but more of a quick lunch stop than a restaurant.

Pros: Nice food

Cons: small
