Lovely cream tea - Edit
I came for vegan afternoon tea but they had just ended service of this.
Read moreSightly disappointed, I ordered vegan cream tea instead and they very generously brought it along with some free extras from the afternoon tea that were still available, including delicious pesto and roasted vegetable mini quiches, seeded flapjacks and raspberry crumble slices!
The menu was slightly confused, with some vegan options not labelled as such (such as the coronation chickpea sandwich), the afternoon tea saying it came with clotted cream when it was in fact vegan cream, and the cream tea saying it came with butter, so I just asked for the vegan cream from the afternoon tea.
The staff were lovely, attentive and seemed very receptive to my feedback, particularly on how a few more of their menu options could be very easily veganised, and seemed keen to make alterations - we shall see.
They have soya, oat and one other plant milk for drinks (no extra charge), though the menu only mentions soya milk.
Pros: Delicious food, Attentive staff, Lovely decor and presentation
Cons: Menu slightly confused and needs some updates

Nice scones but vegans seemed to confuse them - Edit
I really enjoyed my vegan scone and the chickpea sandwich I had. However, I found the menu very confusing, the chickpea sandwich wasn't labelled vegan but when I asked they said it was vegan. There was a dish that mentioned clotted cream that was labelled as vegan, even though I don't think they have vegan cream as the scone didn't come with any.
Read moreThey also looked a bit baffled when I asked for dairy free milk, but they did find some for me in the end.
Lovely selection of teas to try though!
Pros: Nice to have a vegan afternoon tea option, Lovely tea selection
Cons: Vegans seemed to confuse them

Very pricey, poorly executed vegan afternoon tea. - Edit
Extremely disappointing experience. We ordered a vegan afternoon tea for two. It did look exactly like Ariellaw's photos posted on 26/03/24, but sadly we have a very different opinion about our visit. I have never had such a dry, heavy scone. As previously noted there is no attempt at vegan cream or butter, just Flora margarine. The 'quiche' was a bizarre mix of what I guessed was avocado and lumpy vegan cream cheese in a sweet (?!! bleugh) pre-made pastry case that was so hard it nearly broke my teeth. The cakes looked just like the photo, solid and 'worthy'. Truly dreadful and over-priced. There are better places to enjoy afternoon tea in Stratford. Friendly staff and interesting sandwiches were the only redeeming things.

Cons: Scones you could use to construct a wall, Very poor value for money, Lacked a basic understanding of vegan baking

Fantastic! - Edit
We had a wonderful afternoon tea here. They have a dedicated vegan afternoon tea, with great selections (incl vegan feta and hummus sandwich and quiche with vegan pesto). Also had the option to add a glass of prosecco for £5.

What an experience! - Edit
Walked back in time and ordered vegan high tea! Absolutely delicious and the staff very understand if my questions. Only one thing could be better: coconut cream with the scone. You are served with flora. Which is great but would be better with cream.
Read moreThe tea is delicious and honestly I was left feeling full after the high tea.
I would definitely recommend a trip here!
