Great concept vegan dive bar

Wicked dirty vegan pub food. Not exactly a healthy fix but perfect if you’re after a great pub vibe and an easy feed

Pros: All vegan pub food, Lots of organic cider

Amazing

An amazingly chilled out underground vegan bar. Absolutely adored my vegan white russian and seitan version of the big mac!

Vegan fast food. Worth a try for a quick bite but not a special venue.

Menu is very “fast food” (burgers, Hot Dogs, nachos etc). The food was decent but not special. Staff were friendly. The venue is in a basement. It had quite a hipster/grungy feel.

Incredibly interesting individual place.

Had a lovely experience here on our last day in Glasgow. Loved having tortilla chips and dip instead of fries with our meal. Good value for money and the food was very nice. The entire place looks amazing. I spent 5 minutes in the toilets reading all the empowering graffiti left by other women promoting sisterhood and equality. And it was nice to walk round the rest of the pub and take in its uniqueness and charm.

good vibe, okay food

the IDEA is great. the ATMOSPHERE is cool. but to be honest I was slightly disappointed by the food. or maybe I'm used to eating more complicated dishes than fast food places provide ;p however, if you're looking for some chips with veggie sausage to go along with your beer, that's the best place to be! don't miss out on their milkshakes though, they are amazing. and they do student discounts!

Pros: Chill vibe, Milkshakes, Decor

Cons: Long waiting time, Food rather bland

Junk food galore

This is a really handy place to eat if going to Cineworld. I'm not sure if this is still a thing but if you show your cinema tickets you get a discount on your bill. The maccarito is my favourite from here. The desserts are always amazing. It's been a mixture for length of time waiting and service for me. Sometimes you can be waiting for ages sometimes it's quick, just depends how busy the place is so just make sure you give yourself enough time if you have somewhere to be. Service: never had anyone be rude or unpleasant. There's been super friendly or people just kind of doing their job which might come across as rude but for a pub I'm not expecting a Disney welcome so I don't really bother. It can be a little chilly with it being a dark basement so bring a cardigan/jumper! Personally appearance wise I think it looks trendy and urban.

Pros: Food, Atmosphere, Close to cinema

Cons: Can be chilly, Risk of a long wait - depends how busy

great comfort food!

We shared the macaroni cheese and the doner meat and chips and they were the perfect comfort food combination. The food was delicious and I found the beer very reasonably priced (£3 for a can of red stripe when I’ve paid £5 in London!). The only downside was we waited an hour for food and had to chase them a few times because we had a gig to go to.

Pros: food, atmosphere, friendly staff

Cons: had to wait a while for the food to arrive

Great quick food and cool atmosphere

So happy I finally got to try this place. I knew I’d like it as soon as I saw their sign explaining their No Straws policy!
Really yummy vegan bratwurst hot dawgs and the selection of beers is good too.

Pros: Hot dawgs!, Friendly people, Great atmosphere

Cons: Seating could be cosier , No good ale on tap, Not locally sourced

Best vegan pub food in Glasgow

Best range and taste, from burgers, to dogs, even pastas. Great deals too - nothing better than a Big Kahuna burger and beer and their mac 'n' cheese is awesome.

Staff are often a bit to cool for school, the wi-fi's usually rubbish (it's downstairs so no signal) and the place can be a bit chilly sometimes, but definitely tolerable for the food.

Pros: Excellent food and range of drinks, Decent deals

Cons: Bit chilly at times, Little/no wi-fi or signal

Great pub grub.

on my first visit i left unhappy as it was closed when it shouldn't have been. oh but i went to the front door, fool?

you have to look for the back door to get in. visited last week and was one of only two people in at lunchtime. still a mellow vibe was enjoyed with good music and a great lunch. the menu is limited and really pub snack food. the vegan nachos were good but the wedges were a bit oily.

there is a good selection of drinks and if you go knowing its pub food you wont be disappointed.

a visit in the evening gave a whole new feel to the flying duck for me, mainly because it was busy. had a good vibe the food is vegan pub food, but the burger felt home made and was pretty tasty. there was some live music on, and an evening visit is really worth it.

Had the Kahuna burger tonight with everything on it, huge! If you can eat one of these without a bib you a genius.
Philly cheese steak tonight, thought I was gonna have a heart attack, but in a good way.
Brooklyn burger, dirty and spicy. Yum

Pros: staff, music, 100%

Cons: Expensive beer

greasy food place

If you want greasy, vegan food this is the place to go. The Mac and cheese was yummy, as was the chilli chips with cheese. The southern fried tofu was replaced with tempeh, which really didn't go, as the tempeh overpowered the taste. Would love to see a couple of healthy options to offset the pub grub too. Dog friendly too, which is something you wouldn't see in an Aussie pub.

Hidden gem with tonnes of choice

Great location for a post-movie meal as it's so close to cineworld. Amazing variety of choices on the menu, including BBQ Jackfruit tacos, donner meat and chips, and fab vegan cocktails such as a white russians. They also had a special xmas menu which sounded fabulous. The service was really friendly and helpful and the place is very hipster cool, reminiscent of my other favorite places like Sleazys and the 13th note.

Pros: generous servings , loads of exciting choices, good service

Exceeds all reviews and expectations

Although seemingly intimidating and downstairs in the dark, this gem is somewhere you can spend hours (and not too much money - cocktails for £4ish!). Food is exceptional - wide range of vegan burgers, hotdogs and great alcoholic shakes too. Cosy and safe-feeling with friendly staff and plenty of space. Board games, books and lots of events. Absolute safe space - feelings of empowerment and acceptance. ❤️

Pros: Stunning vegan diner food, Cheap drinks, Great vibe

Cons: So popular, may be out of some ingredients by nigh

Just awful. Rude and interested staff

Visited today with my partner and it’s got to be one of the worse places I’ve ever been to. I dislike leaving negative reviews but this place was such a let down.
Visited after reading the many positive reviews on here, however on arrival the staff were very rude and uninterested. With it being my first time here I wasn’t sure if it was table service or not. After standing at the bar with staff walking past us I finally spoke to a long haired gentleman who told me to “grab a seat then order here”.
We eventually ordered a starter and a main course each and were surprised that they brought our soup and our main courses at the exact same time! I had a “tofu sizzler which was just a few cubes of tofu and lettuce with mayo on a baguette style bread. My partner had a hotdog which wasn’t edible at all, it had the most awful flavour to it. The soup was meant to be sweet potato & red pepper but all you could taste was salt!
The decor is very dark and dingy and you don’t get the impression the place is very clean.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone especially considered the many other great vegan restaurants/bars near by.

Pros: central

Cons: too many to list

Best burgers I've ever eaten

The Flying Duck offers a terrific vegan junk food. I've never eaten burgers and hot dogs so amazing. Definitely one of my favourite places in the world. I've eaten here twice with a non vegetarian friend and he completely shares my opinion! You have an infinite choice of burgers because you can add or remove ingredients, their hot dogs are great, so is their banana split. The staff is friendly, portions are generous and prices are low. Moreover, the place has good vibes. I will come back here for sure.

Pros: 100% vegan, delicious burgers, huge choice, nice vibes, affordable, generous portions, friendly staff

Flying Duck!

This was the first place we ate when we came to Glasgow. It was a fun underground experience in a nice neighborhood. It is seat yourself and you order from the bar. The menu is amazing with so many vegan options. We ordered the Philly cheesesteak, macaroni and cheeze and the seitan burger. All of the items were great. Only complaint is that the food is greasy. Back in the states the vegan cheeze is a sauce on most of these items...avoiding the grease. The service was great and we were just happy to find a 100% vegan place close to our AirB &B.

Great Burgers!

Always enjoy my food here. They have an interesting menu of mostly 'pub grub' type food - various burgers etc and great sides, like mac n cheeze and BBQ pulled jackfruit. They also do vegan white Russians, which are lovely!

great venue - service needs improving

This was top on my list on my visit to Glasgow. It's a very trendy place and somewhere you get that vibe of if you don't know what you're doing then leave. Obviously it was my first visit so I didn't know how things work and did feel a little intimidated. The menu is amazing, really great options. The service definitely needs improving/adjusting. Nobody greeted us as we arrived even though they could see us struggling to figure out if we seat ourselves or wait. When we ordered at the bar we wanted to pay but were told three times 'it's on the table' whatever that means. And our drinks came after we had finished our food with no apology or explanation.

Pros: 100% vegan, cool decor & music

Cons: lack of customer service , not a very friendly atmosphere, slow drinks
