The vegan bahn mi is no joke, one of the best sandwiches we've ever had, so just get it of you're in town or close enough to stop by. They also had some vegan salads that were good.

BEST Sandwiches, Plenty of options - Edit
Our whole family LOVED this restaurant. While staying in South Haven, we drove up to Douglas (about 20 minutes) on our way to Saugatuck to eat here based on a friend’s recommendation. They offer deli counter salads, soup, fresh bakery, a coffee bar and the most delicious sandwiches. I had the best vegan Tofu Bahn Mi and vegan “Ding Dongs” fresh made in their bakery. This restaurant serves meat but also offers several vegan options in the deli case salads, a couple sandwich options, wonderful vegan bakery items and nondairy milks for the coffee/teas. The service was friendly and they efficiently handled the people lined up to order. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. We made a special trip the next day to go back and eat here a second time and returned later in the day for a third visit. Highly recommend for vegan, vegetarian and even (some) Gluten free.

The cookies were delicious! It was busy when we visited but service was still quite quick. The potato salad was yummy with a kick. The sandwich was okay, I wish the pickled vegetables had more of a punch. Overall, great seating options, nice staff, and tasty food!

The service is amazing, Everyone is so helpful and nice! They have a lot of vegan options. Each time I go back they have different things in the cold case. I had a a kale Caesar salad, spicy noodles, baked beans, roasted Brussels sprouts. The also have different sweet treats , I’ve had a vegan ho-ho, pumpkin bar, chocolate chip cookie and double chocolate chip cookie. Sandwich wise they have a vegan bahn mi, hummus veggie wrap and avocado toast

This place was a lucky find! I was driving through on my way back from Chicago and so hungry. I didn’t even find them in the app but searched for restaurants along route and called to see what my options were. They were so friendly and patient with me and my options. I placed the order over the phone so I could get right back on the Riad. Amazing!! Food so so GOOD!!

Unfortunately they actually close at 6pm and are not open on sundays. At least that was my experience this Saturday. I wanted to try the sand which everyone was raving about. Walked pretty far too haha. Luckily There was a pizza place near by that did an awesome veggie pie just ask for no cheese. I always keep nooch with me for emergencies haha.

The vegan ban mi sandwich is EVERYTHING. The wait can be long but it’s seriously SO WORTH IT. We also had a vegan kale Caesar salad that was to die for. Definitely a must if you’re in the area.

Stopped here for a quick bite. Unfortunately there was a long wait for sandwiches (we were really wanting to try the Bahn Mi after seeing these reviews), so we opted for some of their prepared salads and a dessert. We had a curried carrot slaw, broccoli salad, potato salad, and a vegan ding dong. All were really delicious and fresh, but our top favorites were the curried carrot slaw and the ding dong.

The Vegan sandwich was SOOO tasty. They had all sorts of different salads when you arrive, and some of them also list the ingredients of what’s in them. The Brussels sprouts with olive oil and sea salt was great, as well as the curried carrot salad.

Tasty, cute deli. The vegan bahn mi was fabulous! They modified the kid’s pb and j to be too, which was popular with the back seat crowd. There is a deli case with several vegan salad and fruit options (there was a vegan egg salad there too). There were a few vegan cookie options. Was a great carry out option for a stop on a road trip!

Had a really good vegan ban mi made with a marinated tofu and super fresh vegetables. Vegan Ding Dongs, vegan cookies. And lots of vegan salad/side dishes. The vegan chocolate-chocolate chip cookies were stand outs.

My fiancé and I vacationed in Saugatuck with my non-vegan family. My brother-in-law brought me this sandwich one day, and I was floored by how great it was. I'm used to vegan options being available at non-vegan delis, but usually they aren't very good... The bread was amazing, the sandwich was filling, and the sriracha garlic spread made the sandwich. I love vegan mayo, so the third time I got the sandwich, I ordered extra sauce, and it was even better. When my fiancé and I went by ourselves, we ordered the vegan tomato and carrot bisque, a vegan double chocolate chip cookie, and a made-to-order juice. All were excellent! If they have them, definitely get the vegan ho-ho! It was also great!

The Farmhouse Deli has a wonderful atmosphere and great food. Every day there is a vegan soup option as well as a selection of vegan cookies or scones. The vegan soup changes daily. My favorite is the vegan spit pea.
Read moreOn the regular menu there is a Vegan Bahn Mi that is absolutely delicious! The Veg Head is really good also. The owner of the Farmhouse Deli is extremely vegan conscious and has been working on adding more vegan items in the deli case. They also run a catering service.
Recently a small seating area has been added indoors.
