Great place for a burger and fries - Edit
The black bean burger is SO GOOD. I usually get an “Akita” style with grilled pineapple, coleslaw, bbq sauce and the black bean patty. The sweet potato fries are also awesome and in general this is a laid back place to eat with good vibes. They also have Impossible burgers so you actually have two vegan options which is nice.

Yummy homemade veggie burgers or impossible burger - Edit
The family dog is a casual restaurant in downtown Orono that serves breakfast, lunch or dinner. For lunch and dinner, they primarily serve veggie burgers. You can custom-build your own burger or choose from one of their options on the menu (all vegetarian options are clearly labeled). They substitute a black bean pattie or impossible burger for their meat pattie. I enjoy Family Dog when I'm in the mood for an indulgence. They have excellent fries (if you like steak fries). In the summer, there is outdoor seating at Family Dog, and they sometimes show movies on their large lawn. In the outdoor lawn area, they are dog friendly, so you can bring your doggie friends if you like.
