Serves meat, vegan options available. Menu always changing. Chef will accommodate to vegans. Open Mon-Thu 11:00-16:00, 18:00-18:30, Sun 12:00-16:00, 18:00-18:30.
You really feel like you're on the edge of the world in this unique cafe. The seating area consists of a long table that you can share with other guests, or a couple of wee armchairs for a bit more privacy if you want.
Fiona cooks all meals fresh to order, and is happy to advise on what she can make with the available ingredients: there is no menu, merely a suggestions board to inspire you! If your meal will take a while to cook, you can take the opportunity to try spotting birds and wildlife out of the huge windows in the dining area, go for a walk around the cliffs and the abandond RAF site, or browse the crafts by local artists for sale in the adjacent rooms.
Our meals were lovely, with a special shoutout to the fruit crumble which was just the thing for a chill windy day! Fiona is an excellent host and happy to have a wee natter with anyone.
One of the few places open in Lewis on a Sunday, but always check the Facebook page for opening times before you go - it's a long drive and you don't want to be dissappointed! Fiona also offers pre-booked evening meals, which I fully plan to return for.
