Just okay

The frozen custard (vegetarian) is good. They usually have a vegan sorbet or other treats. The cookies were a little disappointing.

Incredible vegan donuts

All of the donuts are vegan. They have a huge selection - including cake style, yeast style and fritters. Absolutely delicious and the people are great too!

Indulgent treat.

Love the just fine vegan donuts the most. Also the occasional vegan custard or sorbet. It's a nice treat every now and again.

Delicious doughnuts!

These taste exactly like classic doughnuts. So glad there are now tons of vegan dessert options in Del Ray.

Satisfied our dessert cravings, not worth the price

Two vegan options (dutched cocoa and mango coconut) provided quite a small portion (1-2 scoops) for the same price of a large serving of regular dairy ice cream. Donut shop was closed. Kind employees and quick services, regardless.

All vegan donuts and some ice cream

So The Dairy Godmother has come a long way from not that long ago. Previously they had basically only popsicles for vegan flavors (and maybe sometimes a sorbet?), but they’ve since changed up their game.

It appears that at some point they worked with the folks at Donut Run (the all vegan donut shop in Takoma Park/DC pop ups) and now they’re offering donuts that are entirely vegan. I was really impressed by the donuts they made and I prefer them highly over Elizabeth’s counter imo.

We also shared a scoop of the only flavor of vegan ice cream they had at the time, which was Dutch cocoa - it was pretty good overall. And previously we have tried the popsicles which are pretty refreshing, I liked the Arnold Palmer one previously and the pineapple basil. We were told that the (vegan) ice cream flavors vary depending on if they have enough time to make more flavors.

If we can get more folks to go in and buy more vegan ice cream (or the donuts) it’ll prove that vegan goods are in demand!

Pros: All vegan donuts, Locally made vegan ice cream and popsicles, Fair prices

Cons: Vegan ice cream is more expensive than cows milk, Pastries aren’t clearly labeled vegan or not, Few vegan ice cream flavors
