Best Onion Bhaji ever! - Edit
I love Indian food. The Chickpea Chana Masala was amazing. I was travelling for work. I will definitely be visiting again when I am next in Nottingham.

Wonderful! - Edit
Really lovely curry. Full vegan menu with loads of options. I had the Tarka Dal and the Saag Aloo and can highly recommend both. And the fried okra was amazing for a starter. The only thing I would mention is it did at times smell quite strongly of the lamb curry when someone ordered. Just thought I would mention it for those who would be put off by that. The staff could not do enough for us and were very welcoming.

Cons: There was a string smell of lamb curry.

Good food - Edit
It was good food but the place was really cold and I didn’t like the environment too much.

The Cumin offers an entirely separate vegan menu (must ask for it). Numerous options and variety.

Amazing Indian food and service - Edit
I wanted to have a heartwarming dinner after a hard day and The Cumin delivered that. Giving 4 stars only because HappyCow rates 5 stars only the the full Vegan restaurants. Otherwise 5*, loved their separate vegan Menu. Waitresses are very polite and nice, food was delicious (had the mixed vegetables jalfrezi). Plenty of serving, cannot fault it. If you are a Vegan like me and you are around the Nottingham Castle, have meal here.

Beautifully spiced and generous portions - Edit
This is clearly a much loved restaurant - every other table seated around us downstairs had friendly folk who had been long term regulars for over a decade in a couple of cases.
Read moreI'd already checked there was a vegan menu available - plenty of favourites on there although a bit limited on the breads front.
Ordered the Bhindi and the Bhaji for starters and these were definitely very generous - fresh and crisp and complemented by tamarind sauce and a very tasty mango chutney.
For mains we shared the Daal and the Chana Masala; both wonderfully rich in flavour, though they are not joking with the two chilli heat rating on them.
Rice is plentiful enough to share between two, and the nicely baked chapati was just about right for one.
Pros: Authentic flavours, Generous portions
