Lovely food, atmosphere and owners - Edit
Me and my partner LOVED the food here. We had haggis and mushrooms to start, meatballs x2 for main, then chocolate fudge cake and frangipane for dessert. Beautiful atmosphere- booking is advised, real candles, wonderful owners, helpful staff. The food was delicious with a reasonable variety of options for the remote area.

Good range of vegan options including desserts - Edit
Lovely atmosphere with 2 vegan starters, 3 vegan main courses and 2 desserts. I had a chickpea and sweet potato curry, my mum had a butternut squash risotto and my brother had vegan meatballs all of which we enjoyed. There was then vegan chocolate fudge cake for dessert which was lovely.

Nice place, food not bad - Edit
I think by looking at previous reviews, the options are not as good as they once were. I’ve seen a previous menu with vegan Cullen skink? I enjoyed my haggis fritters with whisky marmalade. Tried some of my partner’s pasta (which comes with vg parmesan!) and the pasta itself was overcooked. Delighted there was vegan choc fudge cake for dessert though! Had a lovely experience with friends though and would return.

Warm welcome and vegan friendly - Edit
This is a warm and welcoming place - you can truly coorie in. The owner Lynn is lovely and knows all about veganism, meaning I was confident that there would be no risk of accidents.
Read moreI had the garlic mushrooms to start, the spaghetti with pesto and roasted veg, then the apple tart with custard. Yes, that’s right, vegan custard.

We really enjoyed our meals - there are some good vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. Local people recommend it as the best place to eat in Killin!

Plenty of vegan options - Edit
Really nice wee place. We sat in the bar area which I prefer to a more formal restaurant. I phoned in advance and was given about seven options to chose from. When I arrived I ordered the Chickpea and sweet potato masala and which was lovely.

A wee Courie just when we needed it! - Edit
After a long, wet and freezing walk round Loch Tay we were welcomed into The Courie Inn with a smile. It was so cozy, a lovely atmosphere and very cute inside! The Vegan Menu was the best I have seen in a long time- loads of options. We couldn’t decide between all the deliciousness so we ordered a few things to share. The kids loved the Vegan Macaroni, Chips and Garlic Bread. My husband and I got the Bolognese, Curry and some sides. The food was absolutely delicious and we had a lovely chat with the lady serving us about Vegan food. The kids coloured in their Menu’s while my hubby and I enjoyed a drink and the atmosphere. Then we just had to all tuck into the Vegan Brownie and ice cream. We will be back and will be recommending to friends. Would leave 5stars if we could!!! 🌟

5 Star Vegan Food - your in safe hands at the Courie Inn - Edit
Stumbled upon the Courie Inn looking for some scran in Killin. Amazing place with fantastic decor. Full vegan options available including plant based butter for stuff like garlic bread etc. We had the vegan mac and cheese, bolognaise, and the chick pea curry. All fantastic with great friendly service.

Great place with great vegan options - Edit
We stayed at the Courie Inn for one night in November 2018 to celebrate a family birthday. There are plenty of vegan options on the bar and bistro menus and we also enjoyed a good vegan breakfast. Would definitely recommend eating here and would have given it a five star review but Happy Cow doesn't allow this for non veggie/vegan places.

Great food, great service, great evening - Edit
4 of us ate here for dinner on Friday evening. I was concerned how 3 veggies and a vegan would fare in rural Perthshire but I needn't have worried - the Courie Inn was perfect for us.
Read moreBetween us we had the veggie Macaroni Cheese, the vegan Macaroni Cheese, the vegan sharing tapas platter and the Linda McCartney veggie burger. For pudding we had the raspberry creme brulee and the vegan chocolate brownie. Everything was delicious. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming, friendly and accommodating - they were so happy to chat and answer our questions about the menu.
I would definitely go back here again and would recommend it to others passing through Killin.
Pros: Excellent veggie & vegan menu, Friendly & welcoming staff, Delicious food

What’s not to like about the Courie Inn? Absolutely nothing! The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant is very well decorated and it is in the beautiful village of Killin.
Read moreThere were 5 of us for a meal last night. 3 of us are vegan and there was plenty of choice on the menu for vegans and vegetarians. For starters 2 of us had garlic mushrooms served with crusty bread and vegan spread while another had veg in tempura batter with a sweet chilli sauce.?The 3 of us had a main meal from the bar menu. I’d heard about the vegan macaroni cheese and chips and I have to say I definitely wasn’t disappointed. We were too full up to try the vegan chocolate brownie with vegan ice cream for desert. Can’t wait to go back.
Pros: Delicious vegan macaroni & chips, Lots of vegan options, Friendly & helpful staff

Delicous! - Edit
Loved that in quite a small town like Killin, we were able to find a place like the Courie Inn with such a extensive range. I had the Vegan Skink and Brownie, my husband had the Linda McCartney Burger- both were really nice and they even had a homemade vegan cheese for the Burger! Highly recommend

WE LOVED THE COURIE INN!!! We were on holiday quite close and ended up going back a few times as we enjoyed the food that much. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, such a gorgeous chilled atmosphere too. The pub area is dog-friendly, however the dining area isn’t, there is also an outdoor area at the front. They have a huge selection of gins and other spirits. They do serve meat but having spoken with the staff a lot of them are vegan themselves! Would highly recommend the veggie tapas starter and macaroni cheese main - that’s right, VEGAN MACARONI CHEESE!

Cullen skink was amazing - Edit
Went in because we were camping nearby and had heard good things, we weren't disappointed! The Cullen skink was amazing, all of us had it as a starter and couldn't believe it was vegan. Main course was nachos for two and macaroni cheese for me, again all very tasty. There's not a lot of vegan options in the area so really can't recommend them highly enough. They're also dog friendly.

Stayed overnight and had two meals here. For dinner I had cullen skink which I just cannot stop thinking about. It was amazing. Spaghetti bolognese was great. Breakfast with LM sausages, beans, tattie scone, mushrooms, toast & plant spread, tea & plant milk. Nothing was too much bother.
