Great spot!

They’ve reopened & the new location is beautiful. The food was very good - we had the spicy agave carrots & cauliflower tacos. Both were very good!

My only con was that the desert list was a little sparse! Add a few more desserts!

Pros: Beautiful spot

Cons: Limited desserts

Good food no inside seating

We are out of town and found this place. We had the Chimichanga what was really good, pastries are amazing, staff is friendly. Portions are a little small. No inside seating what is a bummer especially in AZ where it’s a hot so during the day you can’t sit outside. We ended up eating in the car.

Good food

The food was good! I got the cauliflower tacos which were delicious. I ordered the fried guacamole but couldn’t eat it because it was too spicy but my husband said it was good. I would definitely return!

Better every time...

Last visit was in 2018, and since then they’ve gone entirely plant-based (yay)!

The food was luscious, as expected. Their coffee, cocktails, and pastry case take breakfast and lunch up a notch, as well. The best thing, however, was the sincere and personal customer service we received while dining there. My boyfriend and I walked in sunburnt and sweaty after attending an Animal Save vigil south of town, yet we were treated like royalty from the owner and staff for the duration of our meal there, as were all customers, it seemed.

Honestly, if I lived in town I would probably eat here two or there times a week, minimum. It’s just worth going back.

Pros: Entirely plant-based menu, Casual, comfortable atmosphere, INCREDIBLE, outstanding, customer service

Cons: Feel guilty using disposable cups and utensils.

Don't get the chilaquiles

Only had one morning in town and I highly debated where to go but chilaquiles on the menu called to me and the reviews were really good for this place. Sorely disappointed in the chilaquiles. The tofu was bland and a very small portion. Seemed like commercial tortilla chips were soaked in sauce to keep it crispy rather than starting with a tortilla. Also got the horchata. It was good but much too sweet. Would recommend getting an extra glass and watering it down.

Pros: Baked goods in case to go, Highly conscious of covid safety, Free parking

Cons: Bland food, Not enough shaded seating

Seriously soooo tasty

I live 10 hours away but I would actually debate driving here for their food, especially their cauliflower tacos. My partner got an amazing burrito, too - we were both super satisfied!

Too much plastic they use. Not so much gluten free options.

The food was ok, I drank horchata that was delicious but they use a lot plastic for everything. Not so much gluten free option just chips and taco mushrooms.

We eat here at least once a week

We love the Coronado. We frequent this place for breakfast or lunch at least once a week. They have a weekly brunch special and a dinner special. Menu is a lit small but everything is good. Can't go wrong we anything here. Their pastries and coffee are amazing too

Cute place to eat

The Coronado is a nice place to take lunch or to sit in a corner for a couple of hours and nurse a tea. Delicious food with a varied menu that always has new things on it. A little pricey, but it's worth it.

Always excellent!

Hands down favorite are the cauliflower tacos of course! But may have to mix in the California burrito now too. Its sooo good. And if its breakfast time, they have an amazing breakfast burrito.

Time well spent

One of my favorite veg-restaurants, only thing is if only it was solely vegan. But hey, take your punches where you can right?

Pros: Great food, Good diversity, Great environment

Cons: Sometimes runs out of menu items, Can be slightly hard to find

Fabulous Place For Vegans

Went here with friends while visiting the Phoenix metro area. I had a phenomenal meal highlighted by their Chimichanga. When I saw that it was made with Chorizo I figured it was meat. I asked and was told the chorizo was plant based with beet root and quinoa. It also had guacamole and vegan sour cream. I thought I’d give it a try. So glad I asked and had it as my meal. It was incredible. One of the best vegan meals I’ve had. They should have a better, more detailed description in their menu. It also would have been nice to be able to order some bottled water. Otherwise, it was a fabulous vegan meal!

Pros: Great vegan options, Vegan desserts

Cons: Need better descriptions in the menu, Offer bottled water

Great vibe spot

I really love the energy in this place, but sometimes the meals are often too much in terms of ingredients and the flavor profiles suffer. However, the tacos are always excellent!

The fried guacamole was epic! Cute place and women owned :)

Loved this place, cute and quaint. The fried guacamole was one of a kind and soo delicious! Also enjoyed the vegan horchata and cauliflower tacos. Only wish the tacos had a more fresh salsa on top as the battered cauliflower was a bit heavy!

Awesome women and LGBT run and was cool to see lots of Bernie supporters in there!

Only downside was one waitress who was annoyingly bothering people to line up by the door even though we were by the door! How about adding a roped line or something? Also made a snarky remark when serving our food and rushed to grab our plates while on the last bite.

I'll be back I just hope the rude waitress was only having a bad day!

Pros: Loved the vibe, women owned, mostly vegan options, fried guacamole!!

Cons: Rude waitress (septum piercing, black hair)

Super fun and tasty!

My husband and I joined some of his coworkers and some of my Returned Peace Corps Volunteer friends here for Simpson’s trivia on the patio last night and we had a really fun time. The questions were difficult (I was no help at all) and the concept was super fun. Two of us brought our furry friends and it was a really fun time. My husband had the chickpea burger and I had the tacos. We loved that they source local beers and wines and that they have vegan and gluten free bakery treats as well. This area is pretty vegan friendly in general, but we love supporting the fully veg*n restaurants. This is no exception. The place is a bit tight, but it was a really great experience. The staff are super friendly and helpful and everyone had a great time. The only complaint is the long wait time to order when it’s busy and the lack of space to line up. However, being such a specifically themed restaurant, I understand why they set it up this way and not with servers as during the lulls, they might not make enough to sustain those positions. It might be helpful to have one designated person for busy nights to serve the patio, as they also made multiple people come in to be ID’d for alcohol, both interrupting trivia, and making the already long line impatient (nearly everyone in our party is over 30, but I understand the need to check.) The food was on point, and I’ll be dropping by again soon!

Pros: Dog friendly patio, Fully veg*n, Gluten free options

Cons: Small with little space to line up

Brunch ☕️

The Coronado has great coffee and lattes. They also have unique pastry options. I’ve tried their Mexican hot chocolate cookie that was sweet with a kick of cayenne and their fig pie scone, both amazing! Their space is really cozy and the staff moves fast.

Amazing Vegan Brunch

We were in town for a long weekend and had brunch here - twice. It is that good. Can’t wait to return. Delicious breakfast burrito, veggie and tofu scramble, best scones we have ever had. Quirky spot with friendly service.

Pros: Everything can be made vegan-most is 100% vegan, Scones-tried hazelnut and an earl gray ones , High quality-fresh and well seasoned

Cons: They serve eggs

Delicious

Quaint little place with outstanding, delicious starters, salad and dinner plates. We had the cauliflower tacos, a must try. We had the citrus fennel salad, which was perfect. It was light and refreshing. We had the fried guacamole which was also a great plate to share as a starter. We sat outside with our dog while visiting from KY. Will be back.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Outdoors patio , Pet friendly

Cons: Small (if that is a con)
