Great vegan dinner in Truro! - Edit
We had a great evening meal at the Cornish vegan. My husband was well catered for as a gluten free vegan and I enjoyed my vegan fish and chips too! Friendly service, great food, what more can you ask for!

So hard to choose! - Edit
Had a lunch here yesterday, I love going somewhere that you can have anything on the menu - despite the obvious draw backs of indecision!
Read moreI was pleased to see vegan leaflets on display ‘for the animals’ - as opposed to any other benefit of eating plant based.
Eventually opted for a lunch bowl, which was full, fresh and delicious. So many flavours in one dish.
Service was good - fast and friendly.
Pros: Vegan for animals 🥰, Fresh ingredients , Lots of choice

Wonderful find! - Edit
Enjoyed a wonderful visit this week. Ordered the cheeze and pastrami toastie and truffle fries and both were delicious. Was really happy that the salad was just leaves and balsamic (just how I like it, as I’m very fussy).
Read moreService was brilliant, our host was really considerate and even offered cream and chocolate powder on my oat mocha.
Sadly was only visiting Truro for the day but loved the place as well as The Cornish Vegan and if I’m in the area in future I will definitely be back. Thank you!
Pros: Entirely vegan establishment , Great service , Wonderful food
Cons: Sadly not step-free

Nice atmosphere - Friendly staff - Gorgeous food. - Edit
The menu had just enough choices for them to concentrate on making them great, we had Corn ribs and Crispy Cauliflower florets and choose the lemon and pepper (enjoyed the cauliflower so much my partner ordered more to have with mains!) then had Carbonara and Sweet and Sour Tofu. Even through my partner has never liked Tofu he decided to order it and actually enjoyed it, the sweet and sour had a nice home made flavor to it and lovely sticky rice with a nice selection on the veggies. The carbonara I enjoyed which had mushroom and fake bacon bits 😋. Pudding was deep fried Oreos with vanilla ice cream, something I had to order often missing being able to have deep friend bananas or pineapple at takeaways. It was really nice being able to have something you wouldn't usually get when eating out and everything was fresh and thought has clearly gone into the food and design of the place which has a relaxed atmosphere. P.S. don't be afraid to have a look at the books that's what they are there for. Staff were really nice and friendly/chatty but don't make you feel rushed or constantly asking how things are like at some restaurants. I would recommend this to everyone vegan or not because it's all about the flavours and atmosphere.

As it should be - Edit
This place is awesome. Service is quick and super friendly, good selection of food and drinks, with information on animal rights. We had the fish & chips and the stir fry, both were excellent and the size was quite big. Even the music was great, all British classics from all eras.

The Cornish Vegan serve a superb range of plant-based dishes to delight all taste buds - Edit
We had a wonderful meal here - it's a proper powerhouse for all things plant based so a real treat for vegans but at the same time, as it has such a wide range of dishes on the menu, it's also the perfect place to bring anybody who is just interested in trying some new flavours and ingredients.
Read moreYou'll find something to tempt you on the menu no matter who you are. Options span the range from a decadently delicious double stacked tower of vegan pastrami with smoked cheese, roasted red peppers, baby spinach and microgreens finished with sriracha mayo, to the Lunch Bowl bursting with colourful goodness and featuring sweet chilli tofu, lemon and dill marinaded carrots with homemade houmous alongside a range of epic vegetables and topped with a wasabi mayo dressing. The puds were seriously good too!
The venue was relaxed and inviting, the team were super friendly and the food was 1st class. This one comes highly recommended as one of Cornwall's finest spots to indulge in original, delicious flavours and try some top notch plant based culinary magic first hand.

Lovely Sunday Roast - Edit
So we had a table booked for the Cornish Vegan's first Sunday lunch offering. It was one main course option with 3 starter and 2 pudding choices.
Read moreThe cauliflower wings as a starter were delicious with the buffalo sauce, the butternut and sweet potato soup with sourdough was extremely thick and sweet which split our party, my mum loved it but for my personal taste it was a little heavy.
On the main roast plate I liked it all, especially the gravy, roast potatoes balsamic sprouts and cauliflower cheese. On the whole the roast was quite sweet with the beetroot wellington and stuffing, I had no problem with this but again others in the party would have preferred the main to be abit more savoury.
We were too full for pudding as the portion sizes were generous but I did take home a doggy bag provided by the staff.
I'd come back to try the puddings and it was also great that they did a child size portion of the main
Pros: Child size version of the main , Decent varied main roast course, Cauliflower wings starter
Cons: Quite a sweet main course (if you don't like this)

Absolutely spectacular - Edit
This place is amazing- gorgeous decor, gentle homely but modern vibes. Felt really welcome, staff really helpful, accommodating and friendly. Really good selection of food and drinks, so nice not to have to ask 'is it vegan?'. You can tell there is a real love for the food! Owner friendly and helpful, offered some tips for other good places to eat nearby.
Read moreWe had the poutine to start - best we've ever had, could be a full meal in itself! The Thai curry and katsu to follow. Really tasty but super full after poutine despite sharing it - split it/eat as a meal alone!
My sole complaint is that I couldn't eat everything there! Would highly recommend, will definitely be going back next time we're in Cornwall.

As a vegan family, we had The Cornish Vegan on our list of places to visit on our holiday to Cornwall this year and we certainly weren’t disappointed. What a fabulous restaurant with truly delicious food and such friendly staff! We enjoyed the ‘fish’ and chips and the poke bowl immensely; even our doggo was well looked after with a drink and biscuit!

Don't order the poutine (it's my favourite and I want it thanks) - Edit
Been coming here for two years and still one of my favourite places to eat. The thai red curry and firecracker pork are to die for, and my eternal favourite the poutine so please don't order it en masse or they'll run out and I'll cry. (I've just sealed my own fate now haven't I). I also hear good things about the tofish and chips from people I've gone with but I'm always lured away by the siren call of curry.

A lovely, cosy little place with delicious food and 5 star service. I was so impressed that the owner greeted us by name as we walked through the door and he was so friendly and chatty, there's a real home away from home vibe here and I wouldn't hesitate in going back next time we're in Truro.

A must visit in Truro - Edit
We visited the Cornish Vegan on our way through Cornwall and it was the best pitstop we could have made. The menu was brilliant and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. They even looked after our dog and gave her water and treats. We had the Rueben Sandwich and hotdog - both were delicious. We’ll be back!
