Lovely pub, okay food - Edit
What a cosy and lovely pub. After walking in the rain the fireplace was perfect. Staff was very friendly.
Read moreThe pub was fully booked for the evening but they squeezed us in with the notion that we should leave in time.
Brilliant to have a separate vegan menu!
We had the soup, which was okay but a bit slimey. The warm bread with it was crunchy and tasty.
As a main we had the oat cake which was very tasty and the vegan fish and chips. The banana blossom fish was tasty but the chips were under cooked.

Lovely country pub - Edit
A cosy country pub where booking is definitely recommended. Some good vegan main options, both the "Fish" and Chips, and Oatcake were lovely. A couple of vegan starters and desserts were available. Didn't have dessert but the starters were very nice... Albeit served with dairy butter to spread on the bread. Definitely coming back

Lovely proper country pub with decent comfort vegan food - Edit
Visited here for lunch with a friend. It's a really cosy traditional county pub. Nice log fires and old interior. Was nice to see some "normal" vegan options, not just salads or curry or burgers. I had the traditional Derbyshire oatcake, also on the vegan menu was banana blossom fish and chips, cheese and potato pie, and sausages. The landlord said they had a lot of farmers as locals who complained about the vegan menu so be sure to go and show your support!
Read morePros: Clearly labelled vegan menu, Not pretentious!
Cons: Limited parking, In a popular hiking area so can get very busy, Good to book for above reason

Cosy pub, good food - Edit
Went here with some friends for lunch after a walk - it was cosy and inviting, with a roaring fire. There are a few different vegan options, including the fish and chips (very good, lots of mushy peas) and Derbyshire oatcake. There's also a very good vegan chocolate fudge cake for dessert! Would definitely return for another post-walk lunch.

cute and cozy old fashioned pub that does a few vegan mains and puddings, however does not do any vegan starters.
