Waffles are so good! - Edit
I love this place for their vegan options. It’s really cool they have a full vegan menu. My vegetarian boyfriend loves it too! Cute place inside and their coffee is really good too!

Excellent vegan waffles menu - Edit
This place is a must! Separate vegan menu with at least 20 vegan options. Waffles are as big as the plate topped with Herbivorous Butcher vegan meats and cheeses. So good! Big coffee menu with alternative milk choices.

Definitely worth a stop - Edit
Staff was friendly and customization of menu items is absolutely fine. I ordered the banana bread waffle sub peanut butter for vegan butter. It was really yummy. Also ordered…the twilight. For those people wondering about the vegan Brie, it looks and tastes like the real deal just not as salty.

Almost too many vegan waffles to choose from! - Edit
The vegan waffle menu said The Buzz is known for the "Vegan Bacon Cheddar" waffle, and that it is booming with flavor. I am glad I tried it! The vegan bacon and vegan cheese had a nice smokey flavor which when mixed with maple syrup produced that sweet/salty combination. The vegan butter (extra charge) was a nice indulgence. It was super filling...I could only eat 3/4 of the waffle.
Read moreThe Buzz has really outdone themselves by offering such a massive selection of vegan waffles. The order taker said some items from the lunch menu could be made vegan as well. I would LOVE to see those options identified on the lunch menu at some point. There are 40 other vegan waffles I have yet to try which will keep me busy in the meantime!

Pretty good, bad packaging - Edit
The vegan waffle was good, but not spectacular. If you are excited about waffles, it is worth a try. The vegan country breakfast had good toppings and was filling, but it didn’t stand out as something to make a trip for to me. I was disappointed that they still use styrofoam containers for the to-go orders. There are so many better options at this point.

Room for improvement - Edit
I had a hard time giving this place 3 stars because there are just so many options. I think they are so close to being great but it could be improved, like taking the step to melt the cheese before serving it. Me and my partner both got a waffle and by the time they came out they weren't that warm, and everything on them seemed kind of raw. I was skeptical of the raw onion on one of them, but it actually ended up being a tasty combination with the bacon and cheese. However, the room temperature cheese was pretty disappointing, especially with everything else (besides the waffle) seemingly uncooked. Melting the cheese and serving it warm would make it that much better.
Read moreThe savory ones are better and have more flavor in my opinion (and they can be balanced out with the sweetness from the syrup), whereas the sweet ones, it's just sweet on sweet. On the campire waffle the marshmallows and the chocolate chips are "raw" - not melted like I was expecting. This can lead to it being dry and a bit bland. I found myself having to use the syrup to add something for texture, when I wished it would've come with something else to balance out the sweetness, or another texture element (instead of dry/unmelted marshmallows and choco chips on bread). If I were craving a waffle again I would come back and maybe ask them to melt the cheese before serving. I love that they have such a huge vegan menu and I want to support them.
TLDR:
All in all I enjoyed the savory ones much more than the sweet ones, but I really wish they would melt the cheese and serve it warm.

HUGE vegan menu - Edit
So many options!! I really enjoyed this place. They have a huge vegan waffle menu. They have a lot of vegan meats for savory waffles and fruits and others for sweet. I got the vegan cheddar bacon which was labeled as one of their most popular. It was really good and I was happy with my choice. Would love to try their vegan Brie options in the future!!

Yum! - Edit
An overwhelming selection of flavors that I couldn’t choose between. I wanted to get a sweet and a savory but there’s no way I could have eaten both. I’ve gotten a whole bunch of them and the only one I didn’t like was the Briezy

A GEM in the area.. THE FOOD WASSS AMAZINGGGGGG. i got the cinnamon roll which was reallyy good just really sweet since it was smothered in cream chz frosting, would ask for less or on the side next time. the waffles are thick/heavier which we loved, very filling. hubby got the country waffle (i believe) that has chz and bacon and ham and green peppers… i was skeptical but it was so flipping good, i wanted to trade waffles. herbivorous butchers chz and meat replacements are to die for. food came out quick, 10 min. staff was so sweet and helpful!! i love baristas

There were two whole pages of just vegan waffle options, both sweet and savory. I am not normally a waffle person, but had to try it. Delicious! They also make their own house made vegan Brie, which I would totally try if I am in MN again.

Read moreI’m working in Minnesota for a few weeks. I’m staying in Eagan and have been looking for a vegan restaurant. Today, I found The Buzz. They offer a whole vegan menu! I’m glad I didn’t have to go all the way to Minneapolis to find some good options. I had the vegan country breakfast waffle. It was really good and they don’t skimp you on the toppings. The waffle itself was covered with cheese and bacon. I paired it with the light roast coffee–that was good, too! The only caveat was that they were out of hot sauce :p
Thanks, The Buzz Coffee & Cafe! 😀🧇🌱

Lifelong waffle eater approved - Edit
As a lifetime waffle eater and at the beginning of the year I’ve switched to being vegan..... I have found a few mixes and toaster waffles that are okay. But this place really knows how to do it.

Lots of options - Edit
Went here for the first time, very surprised how much they have. Even vegan meat and dairy. The waffle itself was disappointing maybe because I’m not a vegan and tasted my families and noticed the difference?? Not sure just seemed more dense and not as flavorful. I would go back again though and maybe just try a different option! Prices are pretty good too.

So many good options - Edit
As others have said- the vegan menu is extensive. We (a vegan and Omni) shared the vegan bacon and cheddar (meats from Herbiverous Butcher) and the vegan four berry. One waffle would have been enough food for both us but they were so good we couldn’t stop eating and finished both. We will be back! FYI-They will open a new location in Plymouth soon.

Great waffles. It is a bit of a drive from the city, but the waffles are worth it. Easy parking in the lot. Typical wait time on waffles is 20-30 mins on the weekends. Tons of vegan choices on the vegan menu! Both savory and sweet. Love the cinnamon roll waffle and the bbq

A New Favorite Destination - Edit
I saw this place was listed as a business partner of Herbiverous Butcher vegan meats but I did not see any menu items until I scrolled to the very bottom of the Waffle Menu - over 30 vegan items with a huge variety. I tried the "When Pigs Fly": Loaded with vegan bacon, cinnamon, vegan cream cheese frosting, and cinnamon raw sugar. It was VERY good. I had brought a group of 5 with me and I was the only vegan but the others were very impressed with their waffles, sandwiches and breakfasts.
Read moreThey have a couple of tables that can accommodate groups of about 8, mostly 4 or 2 person tables. Nice atmosphere and service, this is my new breakfast/brunch/lunch/coffee go-to unless I have a larger group.
Pros: MANY vegan options waffle options!, Serves vegan meats, cheese, butter, cream cheese, They plan to add vegan sandwiches/other items
Cons: Group size limited to about 8 persons
