Lovely small vegetarian restaurant

Had a lovely dinner here - pleasant surroundings, kind staff and yummy food/drinks. The truffle chips and lentil crème fraiche was the highlight. Recommend!

Good spot with Veganizable breakfast options!

I went here with an omni group and everyone had a good meal! it’s a small venue so if you have a large group definitely make reservations! Loved my meal!

Good breakfast

We came here for breakfast, but I wish we had waited until lunch or dinner for better vegan options. This restaurant is all vegetarian, but the breakfast menu is heavy on the eggs. We got a grain bowl, a BLAT sandwich, potatoes, and a vegan croissant. It was super busy, but the service was excellent. We sat outside, under the covored patio. They also have a nice parklet as well. This was definitely a pricey meal, and items added up fast. The location was beautiful, however, and I recommend West Village!

Pros: Great atmosphere , Great service

Cons: Price

Very good options

Loved the Mexican cacao elixir, potato gnocchi with vegan Italian sausage, and the vegan steak! Would definitely come back again!

Very nice place w/ many vegan options

The place is really nice and beautiful and the service was really good. I went there for breakfast on a Sunday.

It has many vegan options that are marked in the menu.

I ordered a Croissant, one of the best vegans I have ever had, and a Classic Avocado Toast (which was good but wasn't very classic, as it was more a Guacamole toast).

Overall the only two issues are that it is not fully vegan, and that vegan options could be more clearly marked ('V' label in the menu was very small)

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Nice place, Good service

Cons: Not fully vegan, A little hard to identify vegan label in the menu

This place was good for a vegan breakfast option.

We were happy with our vegan breakfast and cold pressed juices. The vegan chocolate croissant was a little greasy and the tofu scrambled was just ok. I’ve had better. However, the juices were amazing.

Pros: Several vegan options , Not super busy , Quick table service

Cons: Was a little bland

They should go 100% plant-based

While there are quite a few vegan options it would be easy for them to go all plant-based.

Our service was good and the vibe of the cafe with the windows opened on a warm morning was nice.

The açaí in the açaí bowl was a more watery than it should be, but was still tasty. Pancakes and baked goods were good as well.

Cons: Not 100% plant-based

Good but not great

I think this is more of a place for vegetarians because the tempeh bacon and tofu scramble lack the flavor you would get at a fully vegan establishment. I did however like the matcha coffee and crab cakes. Definitely better for vegetarians though.

Pros: Plenty of vegan options , Good coffee options

Cons: Food is not the best

Delicious

The Butcher’s Daughter has great vegan and vegetarian options. I think some of the foods could use a bit more dimension but overall was very pleased!!

Decent but relative to other options in NYC, nothing special

This is very decent place. In most other cities, I would rate this more highly. However relative to other places in NYC, this is good but not as exceptional. It’s a vegetarian / vegan place with almost all the vegetarian options capable of being made vegan.

I had the pasta which was very tasty.

Potential

I liked the vibe and all of the ideas on the menu, but the execution was a little lack-luster and my favorite thing on the menu was the vegan cheese platter which was okay.

Good quality food but tiny portions

The food is cooked well and has good ingredients. But it is overpriced for the size of the portion. I ordered the burger and it came with 4 sweet potato fries. They were chunky and cut from a potato but 4 of them would only add up to half a sweet potato.

Decent fair, but pricy

If you are Vegan, remember to ask for the vegan version when ordering some of these items.

While the food was decent, it was pricy for what you get. I do give them kudos for having a menu of comfort foods (vegetarian or vegan), which are pretty tasty.

Cons: Pricy, Small Portions

not bad but very expensive

i thought the food was very good and the portion was fare, but the prices especially for the beverages was just cray. it was $10 for regular ol orange juice!!!!! but anyway they were really accommodative when we had to change our reservation last minute and the place is overall cute. i think nyc brunch in general probably is overpriced so 🥴

Cute restaurant

Lots of vegan options available here, they are a bit more pricey but I guess that's normal for New York standards. I enjoyed the location and restaurant vibe. The staff however didn't pay any attention to me and wasn't very helpful.

Pros: Lots of options, Food was good

Cons: Staff not very helpful or friendly

Boring Brunch

It was…. Ok at best. The portion sizes were very small for what your paying. The food was very, very bland. Little to no flavor. Tofu scramble was tasteless, pancakes were not great. Potatoes were fine, but you get 4 of them, toast was cardboard. Skimpy on the carrot lox. Too many good brunch places out there to waste your time and $ here.

Pros: Vegan Options, Friendly Staff

Cons: Bland food, Small portions

Ok vegan pancakes

I had the vegan pancakes for like 20$. The pancakes was ok, the service was just ok. The restaurant is way too costly. I felt not very welcome.

Best healthy vegetarian/vegan food!

The Butchers Daughter always has a stocked menu of things that are beyond delish. Thankfully this place is right next to my house and I go all the time to try new things on the menu and get the staples. Their juices are incredible (pure passion is the best. Water flower is also amazing). Their smoothies are soooo yummy (especially the brass monkey). And their day time and evening menu are always filled with 10s. Try the “crab” cakes to share with the table. The chai French toast is a daytime staple. The butchers bowl is great for a nutrient dense breakfast. Everything here is good! Ambiance is also so cute. Very LA

Did Not Disappoint

While not everything is vegan, anything can easily be made vegan with the substitutions they offer. The best problem I ran into is that I couldn’t decide what to order because I wanted everything. I had the surfer’s breakfast burrito made vegan and found myself daydreaming about it the next day. My dad, an omnivore, also approved. I believe he got the eggs benedict which came with potatoes that were to die for. It was crowded and the service was still decent. It could be cheaper though. Their smoothies are $12 and they charge you more for opting for vegan ingredients. I understand vegan ingredients can be pricey though. I would definitely recommend this place.

Pros: Everything is or can be made vegan easily, Great food, Good service

Cons: Slightly pricey

Nice Café

The place is very cute and has a nice menu. I didn‘t like the ordered banana bread a lot since it was a bid too long in the oven for my taste.

Good food but pricey

The food was good but felt the place was pricey. Every dish has eggs on the side, if you don’t eat egg you can exclude it but they won’t substitute it with any other vegan options but with extra charge they may provide you with tofu.
