BEST VEGAN BAR! - Edit
The Buck is our go-to place for laid back hangs. Amazing staff, vvings, great fries, and the Crunchwrap is to DIE for! I love that I live near this place.
Read moreJust a note that this bar is fully vegan, don’t know why HappyCow characterizes it as vegetarian?
Pros: Lots of food. LOTS!, Good price point, Hip!
Cons: A little dirty but that adds to the atmosphere.

Vegan pub food for the win! - Edit
Food is always tasty! Love that they’ve decided to do a lot of standard pub style dishes but veganize them. Staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is so chill. Almost always order too much food so I can take some home to my teenagers because they love it too.

Awesome unhealthy vegan food - Edit
When you are in the mood to sit in the sunshine, eat too much grease and gluten, and drink too much booze, The Buck should be your destination. I haven’t been there since the menu revamp and I am happy to report that the jalapeño poppers didn’t disappoint. The poutine was salty (in a good way) the wraps were wrappy and the corn dogs were corny. Ahhhh one of the places that makes Edmonton summers great.

Vegan chicken wings for the win - Edit
Love the wings! Really liked the Mac and cheese, though it was a little spicy for me. The corn dogs are amaze and it’s great that there’s a late night menu.

10/10 vegan comfort food - Edit
The food here is fabulous. First vegan mac and cheese that actually tastes good. The vegan chicken wings are so tasty and flavorful. Poutine and mexi fries are also a must try. I swear everytime I try a new item on the all vegan menu it becomes my new favorite! If you are looking for a good vegan meal, good music, a comfortable atmoshphere and friendly and efficient staff, then this is the place to be.

The Buck is an awesome place for a beer and wings, all vegan! They have anything you’ve ever wanted to indulge in at an omnivore pub without any of the cruelty.

Unexpected Deliciousness - Edit
I won't lie I was a skeptic when I arrived with the long wait times and all but once the food comes out and you take the first bite all your judgments dissipate. The food is so good and filling definitely a must try.

Tastiest Vegan Burger around! - Edit
Hidden upstairs local bar along Whyte. My travel buddy had chilli cheese chips and I had the burger and chips - all vegan! The burgers tasted so similiar to actual meat burgers it was ridiculous! Come here for your cruelty free junk food fix!

All Vegan All the Time - Edit
Funky pub atmosphere, looks like a great place to party. Food was excellent, I had a hard time deciding because everything sounded so good. We had the buffalo wings, fish tacos, fried avocado tacos, chicken and waffles and the garlic fries...it was all very good. The server was great, she took our order promptly and the food came out hot in a timely manner. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Good Beer, Good food, Good music! - Edit
Cool place with a wide selection of beers and vegan pub food. They have food discounts on Friday. The place is spacious, music is cool, you can play flipper, the patio is awesome. The only thing I didn't like is names of meals. I guess they have a reason for that, but I can't understand why would anyone call vegan dish "fried chicken", or "pulled pork"? Other than that, everything is excellent.

Amazing! - Edit
We were strolling along Whyte and started to get hungry. Thank goodness for the Happy Cow app, otherwise we never would have gone in here just from walking by, because there's no sign outside that would let anyone know about the amazing food. They also have a really nice patio outside. I ordered the beer-battered fish burger, which was delicious, and my husband had the pulled pork...I took a bite and it was also a winner. The garlic fries are amazing. I upgraded to the chilli-cheese fries which were good, although I would have liked a more fries to less chilli ratio.

Vegan Pub Food and Beer! - Edit
The Buckingham is pub and serves all vegan food, which is awesome. The menu is fairly large with a good variety. I ordered the vegan fish and chips, served with peas and coleslaw. I really enjoyed it, as I have never tried a vegan version of this dish. I would like to try the mozzarella sticks at some point.
Read moreI was not overly impressed with the beer selection, but when I asked the bartender for a beer with a lot of hops, he did present me with an IPA that I enjoyed. I appreciated the recommendation.
The place is not fancy, but decent in size with some outdoor seating. There was a live performance going on the evening I was there, and there was a $10 cover which I was not expecting. So, you may want to check to see if there are any special events before going out.
Pros: Vegan pub food!, Beer!

Definitely worth visiting - Edit
The pub itself is fine - though hardly a fine dining experience. It's a pub, and kind of an "old school" wooden, hasn't been renovated in years kind of thing.
Read moreBut the food is yummy, if a bit on the pricey side for what you get. We ordered the wings and they were very good. The hummus plate - though overpriced - was very good too. We would definitely go back.

A pub food treat for vegans - Edit
I recently tried the new vegan menu at the Buckingham. I was very excited to test out their new vegan pub food, as the crew at Sailin' On is responsible for the menu. We ordered the chili fries, corn dogs and deep-fried pickles so that we could try a bit of everything. The corn dogs were really yummy, you get a large deep-fried veggie dog on a stick and some fries for $6, it's probably the best deal on the menu. The chili fries were great, they were topped with not only chili but also vegan sour cream. The deep-fried pickles were a little disappointing however, the breading did not adhere well to the pickles, and the pickles themselves were overly chewy and hard to bite through.
Read moreI would like to go back again and try more of the menu items.
