Annoying Experience but the VG items are there

The Croydon branch of breakfast club is right next to east Croydon, so very convenient.
There was plenty of space on a Sunday but we opted to sit outside of the actual restaurant area in the boxpark benches as the indoor space was pretty stuffy
This was a bit of a problem because you basically can't order the vegan option for most of their menu off the boxpark qr code link, and even if you do it's massively inflated (charged extra for sides etc). People working in the unit weren't aware of this and were helpful but it was frustrating and if you were ordering from elsewhere in the boxpark venue it would be very difficult.
If you're in the unit itself I guess it's fine, but outside you're also given loads of packaging, cutlery that can't cut through sourdough and basically can't order properly.

Five bigs stars! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

We had a great breakfast here this weekend! We had the plant based blueberry pancakes to share and I had the veggie spoon which was basically a really nice fry up. The beans in particular were awesome and had lots of smokey flavour! (Would have given 5 stars but the app has weird rules about it).

Great English breakfast

Very friendly place with clearly labeled vegan items.
It's very popular so there was a bit of a queue when we got there, but it went fast.
I got the "Veggie Spoon" with scrambled tofu instead of eggs and everything was tasty - the tofu itself was a bit bland but with a bit of salt you can solve anything :)

Wonderful breakfast

I wanted to have a typical english breakfast with beans and toast, sausages, ham, scrambled eggs etc and this is the place to go. The food was wonderful, clearly labelled and everything so delicious.
There is another store a few streets away at Soho, but this one isn't as crowded, so we didn't have to wait and directly got a seat. Service was really friendly, food was great and plenty and i loved that they had so many vegan alternatives such as the sausages, ham and eggs. All in all wonderful experience.

Always tasty but always slow

I go to one of the Breakfast Clubs every time I’m in London! Food is eternally great but the service is painfully slow/bad

Also to be able to nab a reservation, I need to book for a mad time as they’re chock a block. However that’s not a con of the place. It’s busy because the food is so good! Which is why I return time and time again, a slave to their vegan All American Breakfast.

Would be nice if the staff didn’t roll their eyes every time you spoke though 😂

Pros: Vegan All American Pancakes 😍, Big mugs

Cons: Slow service, Extremely noisy, Rundown interior

Good breakfast food, weird breakfast atmosphere

This place has a lot of really tempting vegan breakfast options, I wish I could have tried more. The set vegan breakfast was generally a good full English. The sausage, bacon, and potato were all fantastic. The tofu scramble was a bit disappointing in texture, and the lack of toast was a shame. The American pancake and sausage option was also good, the pancakes were a treat.

However, the atmosphere was a bit more "club" than "breakfast". The lighting was so dim we had to use the torches on our phones, and the music was very loud for 8.30am.

Great spot for vegan brunch!

I had the set veggie #2 (basically a vegan full English breakfast) and it was so good! Make sure to ask for the vegan version, because it originally comes with eggs! The dish came with vegan sausage, tofu scramble (SO GOOD) vegan bacon, hash brown, portobello, tomatoes and beans. I loved the tofu scramble!!

They had several vegan dishes, including two different pancake dishes and avocado toast. It’s a great place for breakfast/brunch/dinner if you’re a group with both meat-eaters and vegan/vegetarians!

Veganuary Menu - Please Make Some Items Permanent!

Wow, the 'Redefine Meat' vegan sausage and scrambled tofu was absolutely delicious, la vie bacon great as always too - and the pancakes, absolute munch, so big and fluffy and easily the best vegan pancakes I've ever had. I would love it if the vegan pancake breakfast and vegan cheezburger were added to the permanent menu - and having never been to Breakfast Club before, those two options would definitely bring me back! The 'Redefine Meat' products are so good that I'm sure even some carnes would be buying!

Good and hoping for even better

Vegan Food & Living reported that this branch of The Breakfast Club had gone fully vegan for Veganuary 2023. In fact it's only veggie but all the meat has been switched out for alternatives including La Vie Bacon and Redefine Meat.

I was struggling to choose (a welcome vegan predicament) so took the self-confessedly meat-loving server's recommendation of the posh sausage sandwich which is also packed with delicious roasted mushrooms and good melty "cheese", plus a touch of sweetness from.the sauces. It's not cheap (£14) but it is enormous and invites repeat visits this month to try the other Veganuary options.

Maybe with enough uptake, the vegan range will permanently expand across all The Breakfast Club's branches with a fully vegan Veganuary 2024! #Veganuary

Pros: Good service, Coffee served in a mug, Mood-boosting retro pop playlist
