Can't believe they closed down. I was there in 2014 and I really liked the Purple Haze smoothie. It was a nice place that doesn't offer junk food which is common in Berlin.

Ok for breakfast - Edit
I was here in June 2018 for breakfast and had a bagel with smoked tofu inside which was pretty decent. So the eating was not to bad but the environment and the staff was a bit to stressed for my taste.

Nice dinner! - Edit
We went there for a nice dinner. I had a bowl with vegan "shrimps" (what I didn't realized when I ordered...) and my love had a bowl with some buckwheat and salad as well. We shared them and it was tasty all over. I enjoyed the beautiful ambience and the stuff was friendly.

Wir sind mit hohen Erwartungen gekommen und wurden enttäuscht. Das Essen war langweilig gewürzt, die Portionen viel zu klein, die Bedienung hat auf Kritik desinteressiert reagiert. Schade, wir kommen garantiert nicht nochmal!

We arrived shortly after they opened for the day. The waitress was nice and accomadating, but some items on the menu were not available, like the vegetarian burger, so we left. The menu was short to begin with. Search elsewhere for a larger selection.

Disappointing - Edit
Cozy place and creative idea with “bowls”. However, we had to wait quite a while to get our food. I had the Caesar bowl, which didn’t have that much in common with a traditional Caesar salad and tasted kind of blend. It is also very expensive for what you get.

I’ve had brunch at Bowl in December 2017 and it was very delicious. The breakfast menu on days that they don’t serve brunch, is quite dull. We had porridge and bananabread. Porridge was almost cold so you had to eat it quickly. Also quite disturbing pop music.

Read moreFollowing a 24 hour animal rights activism event, myself and 12 other activists visited the restaurant on Sunday 24th June 2018.
Two of us are gluten free, and having checked the menu with the allergen list at the back at the menu, were excited that there were several options to eat. I ordered the vermicelli bowl, as the allergens listed did not contain gluten. However, as I am quite cautious of my food, I double checked with my waitress that it was in fact gluten free. She informed me it was not, to my confusion. She told me that the allergen ‘soja’ or ‘soy’ was listed, as it contained soy sauce, so it wasn’t gluten free. I told her that the allergen ‘soy’ has nothing to do with gluten, and this allergen should be labelled also, to which she seemed confused. There was a number of items on the menu that were labelled as containing ‘soy’ but not ‘gluten’ when they contained soy sauce. In the end I gave up and ordered something that was definitely gluten free.
Now, i do understand that we were a large group, however the restaurant was not particularly busy, yet we still had to wait a ridiculously long time for the food. One of us even went to the bar to see what was happening.
Eventually the food arrived, however they tried to give us more food than what we ordered (not really a problem for 13 hungry vegans), but seemed confused as to what we had actually ordered.
Now onto the food. It was okay, nothing special. The 'roasted root vegetables' on my caesar salad were in fact a mix of soggy fries and sweet potato fries, tasty I guess, but a little misleading. The burgers quite frankly looked sad, and apparently tasted the same.
All in all, a disappointing visit, would not recommend, and will not be returning.

The restaurant seemed nice and I had heard good stuff about it, but sadly the food was a disappointment. The 'gambas' bowl was very salty and oily... so it for sure didn't feel like 'clean eating'.

Went here twice when I was in Berlin. Such tasty food. Really liked it. Even my parents liked it (one of them is not vegan). Definitely recommend it. There's a code for the restroom and it's quite difficult to get it - almost peed in my pants before finally figuring it out...

Dont go. Since the owner changed it is a horrible place. They Are selling non vegan wine, they want to charge guest from the bistro for the toilette, the food is in poor condition. I saw how one staff member screamed at a Woman with child because of the toilet issue.....

Stay away! Incredibly rude attendant screamed for us to move to another table saying it was reserved when in fact there was clearly no reserved sign in it. Even the people around eating stated in disbelief. Never coming back here ever again.

Read moreWe only grabbed a snack in the cafe but the cakes looked really tasty and the roll we had was filling and reasonably large for the price we paid.
The atmosphere of the place is also quite nice, being directly connected to the Veganz store.

Read moreMy first dining experience at the bowl, soon after opening a few years ago, was great. Good ingredients, well presented and extremely tasty. My most recent was a big let down.
We had three bowls; the caesar salad, rice and gambas ('shrimp') and Thai green curry.
The caesar's "Roasted root vegetables" turned out to be soggy french fries, the mock shrimps were extremely unappetizing and the green curry was just about passable. All the dishes felt ungenerous, prepared with little thought or care.
To top it off at the end of the meal we had to wait 30 minutes for them to get their payment system online again.
Overall very disappointing given how good it used to be and how many great vegan options are available in Berlin. Hope they can get back to their previous level.

Rude and unprofessional - Edit
I went to both the bistro and restaurant in Berlin (4 times). Food was always great but employees are unfriendly, don’t ever smile and today was a total shame! I had had breakfast at the bistro and went to the toilet to wash my hands. The door was locked and told a tall blonde man who worked at the restaurant upstairs. He said “of course it’s locked!” I said I just wanted to wash my hands and told him I had had breakfast in the establishment. He was looking at his phone, didn’t even look at me and gave me the following answer “I don’t care if you ate downstairs, it’s not my problem, you have to pay if you wanna use it!” I called the manager, told her everything and left feeling so sorry for such a nice place to have such poor hearted humans as employees.

I ate the Caesar bowl with miso and hazelnut Parmesan souce 👌🏽💚 the blueberry limonada and the cacao vanilla cake were also good! I little bit expensive tho. Cool atmosphere, good music and they have WiFi ❤️🍉

Don't come near this place. It was good in the past but now the menu changed and there's almost nothing compared to what used to be in there. Also, the service is awful. Very rude and not helpful. And they charged me for a glass of water!!!! 1.5 €!!!!!!!

- Gebackener Blumenkohl (starter cauliflower)
- Rice & Gamba bowl
- Green Curry bowl
Unfortunately, we had no room anymore for desserts, will be for a next time.
The passion and love of the staff for what they are doing, is great to see and is one of the lovely points of this restaurant.

Heavenly vegan bowls! - Edit
Oh wow...where do I even start? Okay...went to The Bowl, was expecting great vegan food. What I got was much more than that - it was pure heaven. It may sound very dramatic, but as someone who is very passionate about discovering new whole food dishes, I can't contain my excitement. I went with the buddha bowl, which had wild rice as the base, plus curry, sweet potatoes, shiitake, raw beetroot carpaccio (thanks for introducing me to raw beetroot, I've always baked mine but since tasting these, I've only been having them raw) and some greens and seeds on top. The flavours in the bowl were out of this world, plus the shiitake were one of my favourite elements about it even though I usually am not a fan of mushrooms! Service was excellent, very polite and sweet, and the food was delivered extremely quickly considering how busy the place was. Definitely recommend!

Bei einem Saft für 5,90 Euro bin ich von einem frisch gepressten Saft ausgegangen. Dass die 200 ml in einer gerade geöffneten Plastikflasche kamen hat mich sehr enttäuscht.
Read moreDie Bowl war "okay", aber das geht bei 12,90 Euro besser. Die Tomaten waren nicht mehr wirklich ansehnlich (lagen wahrscheinlich in Soße über Nacht im Kühlschrank). Ich war zum ersten Mal kurz nach der Eröffnung da, und ich muss sagen dass der Laden leider sehr nachgelassen hat - schade!
