Very pricey. $10 for a bowl of chips and $16 for a toastie. Wouldn’t bother. - Edit
Not many vegan options. Toastie was titled roast vegetables and had a small bit of pumpkin and small amount of capsicum and spinach. No cheese, no margarine and was $16. Venue is nice and staff are friendly. Pity about the food. Chips are nice, but portion is small for $10.

Yummy but steep $$$ - Edit
Their vegan menu was fantastic, however the servings were extremely small for the price tag. In saying that, my meal was quite yummy! Good service.

Overpriced - Edit
The prices are significant and the servings are small.
Read moreI’m local to the Peninsula and love trying out new places with vegan options, however, I personally wouldn’t bother making the trip to specifically come here again.
I ordered the mushrooms which were $24 and the plate was literally a half serving. Sides are up to $6 each too.

New vegan menu available - Edit
Used to be called Buckley's Chance, The Boss's Daughter has a separate vegan menu with eight items and seven sides options to make your own breakfast. I ordered a soy chai which comes with honey on the side (will ask for none next time) and the vegan Veggie toastie. The toastie was full of flavour however expensive at $14 as it wasn't a big serve. Bucket of chips at $10 was expensive too. I've given the three stars for the flavour of the food, separate vegan menu and friendly service. The size of the dishes and the price is why I didn't rate it higher.
Read moreAs far as I know there are no other separate vegan menus at eateries in Sorrento on the main street.
Pros: Separate vegan menu, Indoor and outdoor seating, Friendly staff
Cons: Expensive , Smallish serves

They "appreciate no changes to the menu" - Edit
Not sure why this place is on HappyCow... there are better options for vegans up the mainstreet.

Coffee is good.
There's also a fireplace.

Better than Buckley's - Edit
Unfortunately Buckley's smelt of eggs and meat from the outside when we were there on the weekend. It was very busy, we wandered in anyway. Service was OK, nothing special.
Read moreThere's not a whole lot of choice around here for vegans, but you will find something here, albeit limited. Vegan and vegetarian items are marked on the menu (as well as gluten free).
Menu is very limited anyway, let alone for vegans. I had a chia pudding which was delightful, with lemon rind. I would have preferred more fruit. They had cakes, with gluten free options, but nothing vegan. They had toasties, which you might have thought would be easy to make veg options, but there were none. :(
Hope there are more options around here soon, as this place is kind of a pathetic option in terms of 'friendliness' for us. But what I did have was better than nothing, and relatively healthy - I give 'em that.

Hi Aloo,
Read moreThank you for taking the time to write a review for us here on HappyCow! I am disappointed to hear our service was not up to scratch - as our friendly and efficient service is something we pride ourselves on at Buckleys Chance - I will absolutely be taking this constructive criticism on board.
We are currently in the process of designing our new menu which will feature quite a few vegan friendly options - including sweet treats! We hope you will give us another try when you visit Sorrento again :)
Thanks again!
Tessa :)
