Serves meat, vegan options available. Could build-your-own pizza with toppings like Daiya vegan cheese and mock meats (bacon, sausage, beef crumbles, pepperoni). Different veggie slice each day; on Tuesdays it's always vegan. The building is eco-friendly in that it is fully solar powered, some seats are recycled items and the bathroom doors are made out of old subway doors. Reported closed December 2022.

Tasty Slice - Edit
Got the Forever Vegan pizza, kind of like a curry which is pretty slick. Wish they had more slice options to make it as accessible as the non-vegan pizzas. More of a 3.5/5

I frequented the boiler room very often when I lived in Chi, even if it wasn't Tuesday Vegan Slice day. They're a great place to hang out at. Whether you want a slice or a whole pie or just something to drink~

other people love it! - Edit
I think the vegan pizza at the Boiler Room is good for vegan pizza. I'm still not sold on vegan cheese, especially when it's called upon to be the star of the show, as it is with pizza. So I don't love the Boiler Room's vegan pizza. But that's not the Boiler Room's fault! On my scale of vegan pizza, it's well above average. If you like vegan cheese and vegan pizza, then you'll love the Boiler Room.

Vegan slice Tuesday! - Edit
They just started offering a regular vegan slice daily that has mushrooms and peppers and every Tuesday they feature a new vegan slice. I recommend getting the pb&j special! Comes with a PBR a slice and a shot of Jameson whiskey. Great way to kick off a night in Logan square.

ok - Edit
There wasn't any vegan pizza available by the slice so i didn't have any. The service was very fast. I had the beet salad without cheese. $9.50 very small, almost no beets or apples. The candied walnuts were too sticky to eat. I did like the atmosphere would return again to try pizza. Service was very fast.

Cons: expensive small salads, cash only, no vegan slices

Vegan cheese for pizzas! - Edit
Although not the most amazing pizza in the world, they do have vegan (Diaya) cheese for their pizzas and fake meats. And they don't charge extra for these options. Awesome! They have good cocktails (a bit expensive though) and their hummus is delicious. I love the atmosphere and the staff is always helpful and nice. Overall I really like this place!

Great vegan pizza options, great atmosphere - Edit
The Boiler Room is a very cool restaurant that is wholly solar powered, cleverly decorated (cargo straps for seats, subway theme in the bathroom), with a relaxing atmosphere. Even if they didn't offer vegan pizza I'd still want to come hang out here for a while.
Read moreThey offer pizza by the slice, but you have to order and entire pizza for the vegan option - that means you're in for a huge pizza, like six-piece NY style big. No worries though, they have all kinds of toppings to add to that large pizza such as Daiya vegan cheese, Uptons mock meats (sausage, pepperoni, bacon, crumbles), and good ol' veggies. I decided to get slightly creative and ordered a pizza with potatoes, garlic, Daiya cheese, and sausage. I admit that the slices were so big that I couldn't really make it past 1.5 slices, it was rough! But overall the pizza was very tasty and something I'd go back for, several times!
