Great veggie / vegan cafe - Edit
Cycled past this place many a time and always wondered what it was like. Visited yesterday with a few cycling buddies and everyone loved it.
Read moreI had a vegan breakfast and it was sublime. They have vegan cakes too. They even had almond milk in addition to the usual oat and soy (neither of which i'm not keen on in tea or coffee).
Non-vegans were really impressed with their food too.
Outdoor seating which we enjoyed in the sun.
Nice service as well.
My new favourite local cafe.

Tasty and satisfying meals - Edit
Popular café – its two rooms were full shortly after noon on a December Saturday. Fresh flowers on the tables. There are many vegan and veganizable meals on the menu. I had the Big Vegan Breakfast for £6.95, with VBites Lanchashire sausages, tomato, garlic mushrooms, hashbrown patty, baked beans, scrambled tofu (had onions and squash in it) and “doorstep” toast (thick slice) with vegan spread. Very satisfying, and good scrambled tofu. Also on the menu were light bites, avocado on toast and bigger meals, including vegan lentil--sweet potato burger, lentil dhal with roast cauliflower and pomegranate and a winter mezze plate for £7.50. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and Little Valley Brewery bottled beers (vegan!). I took away a piece of delicious mulled-pear cake.

Lovely jubbly. - Edit
The Blue Teapot is a quaint little café with a delightful menu. The specials change frequently and they are more than happy to accommodate vegan restrictions (there’s always a selection of vegan meals on the menu too!).
Read moreI ordered the from the specials menu - the vegan samosa. I was absolutely delighted when it arrived to see that they were actually baked; sure that’s not authentic, but absolutely perfect for me as I’m not a fan of fried foods where I can help it. The flavours were spot on, and the dish was a pleasure both taste and visual wise, but also perfect portions for lunch!
The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing, we felt right at home. I’ll definitely go out of my way to visit again when I’m in the area, it was just a really lovely experience.

Vintage and Modern - Edit
Some cafes these days do a retro vibe through and through. This charming little place has that slightly comforting back in time feel but with great energy and up to the minute music.
Read moreThe food was superb for vegans with very tempting cakes and deserts. I have been there twice now and have found it more than fulfilled my expectations. This time it was just for a coffee and cake. The vegan vanilla cheese cake was really delicious. And the last time the light and fluffy ginger pud was good too. The location is a bit off the beaten track but the journey over the moors to try this place is worth it.
Pros: Delicious food, Calming and refreshing ambience, Wide choice.
Cons: A bit tucked away.
