Excellent independent restaurant.

In the context of what is available in this area, The Blonde Beet is very good. Friendly service.

Interesting and healthy food

This cafe changes its menu monthly which means the food always feels healthy and seasonal. I also like the fact it opens on Friday evenings for a different atmosphere, but it still does the same menu which is a bit of a shame - a totally different set menu for the evening would be nice

Pros: Monthly menu changes, Healthy food, Friday night opening

Cons: Choices a little limited

Sadly disappointing

I hate writing negative reviews but our visit to The Blonde Beet was disappointing at best. The spot itself is lovely, with a cute courtyard where dogs are welcome. The staff is nice and friendly, though quite obviously not very experienced (that’s okay, not a big problem at all). The big problem was the food, because it was just NOT good. It is the kind of food that gives vegan food a bad rep - bland, strangely put together, difficult to eat. If we weren’t vegan/animal lovers and had come here to try vegan food we would have probably run away thinking “we just can’t be vegan”. The coffee was also horrendous, some of the worst we’ve ever had and we’ve had coffee all over the world. The price was excessive given the quality of what we had. I will still give three stars to the cafe because of the location and the friendliness of the staff, plus of course the willingness to have a plant-based menu (the only place in Stamford, I believe), but improvement is absolutely needed in order to help, rather than hinder, the vegan cause.

Pros: Nice courtyard and location, Friendly staff, Plant-based menu

Cons: Food not very good/menu not well-thought of , Pricey

I might as well live here!

Great food, great staff, super cute place - what more could you ask for?!

I've been so many times and have loved everything I've had, and in Stamford where you can't even get vegan chips, this place is a god send!

Pros: The staff , The food , The atmosphere

Third time lucky!

First two times the Blonde Beet was full, so this time, third time was the charm. Amazing food. I had a Summer ratatouille. Amazing. The bed of white bean and cashew purée was such a wonderful addition. The polenta chips were so tasty. The service was friendly and fast, which was essential because I was so hungry, and I left feeling so much better. I’ll make sure I try every time I visit Stamford. I just wish I’d tried the cheesecake too.

Pros: Delicious food., Bright and friendly atmosphere , Wonderful service.

Delicious, creative and comforting

The best meal I've ever had! The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was lovely and staff were wonderful. I've been a few times and will most definitely be going back. On this occasion I had the risotto and cheesecake which were amazing. I can't recommend Blonde Beet enough.

Love this place!

I have been enjoying going to the Blonde Beet cafe for several years now and it's a real jewel and unique community space that we are so fortunate to have in Stamford.
The menu is always varied with exciting plant based options which change frequently, are really delicious, fairly priced and have sustainable roots - win, win!
The cakes are really hard to resist too.

The location is great, tucked off down a little alley at the end of the high street, with seating outside amongst plants in a little courtyard and the majority of indoor seating upstairs in a beautiful old-beamed room, often with local artists work on the walls.
The Friday Bistro nights are always special, with the atmosphere always welcoming, friendly and comfortable. I always find the Blonde Beet somewhere I'm happy to go on my own, as the staff never fail to welcome me with a smile or have a quick chat.
There are generally a range of interesting events, courses or groups happening each month too, often along the lines of cookery, art, crafts or sustainability.

Pros: Excellent food, Always friendly staff, Great vibe

Really enjoyed our visit to the Blonde Beet. The food was delicious and inventive. Not a beyond burger in sight. All the staff were really friendly and the food was reasonably priced. Will definitely return!

Gorgeous food, staff and surroundings!

Tucked away in old stone building with beams, in the centre of Stamford. Licensed cafe that also opens on a Friday night. Locally sourced, seasonal, sustainable, organic, vegan ingredients. The food is really tasty and not just "the usual" stuff. The staff are friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is great. They even welcomed our little dog Maggie and made a real fuss of her. Thank you all!

Delicious simple food in a lovely setting

We had a lovely lunch here during our trip to Stamford. We opted for the soup of the day with bread and the daily special salads. Everything was delicious and the service was great. It’s a really cute building with lots of character. If we lived here we would definitely become regulars!

Life giving oasis

Finding this place saved a bit of my sanity. Personable service (Matt), cosy, historical building with light decor, food to wake my body up out of its stupor, I want it moved to Swansea! I wish. Standout restaurant. Thank you.

Pros: Vital nourishment , Friendly, Ambiance

Cons: Too far from Swansea , Mobility issues for some maybe (upstairs)

Such a good little vegan friendly cafe, great find!

We were so happy to find this cafe as the food was just so delicious! We had a tea, coffee and hot choc, all with oat milk (as standard which is awesome)
Me and my little girl shared an orange and walnut cake and a chocolate cookie.. both were divine and we will be back for more to take home as only here for the weekend. Her dad had a curried chickpea dish, generous portion and gorgeous!
When in the area again we will absolutely be back, we all loved it. 3 happy vegans 😄

Pros: Fresh food, Delicious everything!

Cons: Not a lot of choice... but that's about it

Gem 💎

Jo has created a space that is delightful. Every little detail is well thought through, sustainable and inline with her passion for local produce, plant based and sustainability with minimal waste. Jo”s food is amazing. Creative, healthy, packed with taste and affordable with a flare for local suppliers and a real community feel. This is a do not miss hidden gem although newly opened has been in the making for a long time. Can’t express how delighted to have a plant based bistro locally.

Pros: Independent and supports local suppliers , Packed with flavour, Delightful space inside and out

Cons: Does not do breakfast… yet
