NO LONGER SERVING VEGAN OPTIONS

Went there today and the owner said they haven’t sold ANY vegan burgers for years, so don’t go here expecting a meal, cos you won’t get it!

Good quality gyoza

We had normal gyoza vegan gyoza and a vegan curry gyoza.

Great presentation. Quality ingredients. They give 3 non traditional sauces for the gyoza (miso, olive and tomato).
They seemed familiar about vegan as they mentioned the miso is made in house and can be eaten as it is vegan.

Pros: Great presentation , Quality food, Decent price

Cons: Just 2 vegan items

Tasty vegan options under Fukushima Station

Located in the underpass of fukushima station, the blackstock is a cute little pub with great vegan burgers. We tried the lentil burgers, felafels and corn chips with guacamole & salsa. All super delicious, well seasoned and fresh.

Service was a little slow but only because the lone barman/server/chef was running the whole show! If you're not in a rush, would recommend.

Pros: Delicious, Friendly staff with good english

Cons: Small (seats maybe 15), slow service

Great Food Choices

My husband and I stopped in here for dinner (note that they don't open until 5:00 pm most days). We ordered a black bean burger, the falafel plate, and extra french fries. All of our food was delicious and reasonably priced. The owner was very friendly and went out of his way to initiate a short conversation with us. It's also just a short walk from the JR station.

Pros: Friendly Owner, Delicious Food, Good Value

Cons: Smoking allowed

More pub than restaurant but pretty solid

Vege burgers, pies and chips. UK and US beers if you are into that, but a bit pricey if you aren't. We managed to hit happy hour (before 7pm I think) so a bottle of wine was 1000Y. English menus and waiter fluent. Probably attracts a decent ex pat crowd.

Cons: 喫煙可能。

This place is sensational

This place is small but mighty! I loved going by myself, as I got to chat to both of the folks working that day. Both spoke fluent English, and I ended up chatting with some of the friendly regulars in the pub. The owner helped translate so we could have a conversation so casually. They have TONS of imported ciders, beers, and gin, but the man makes some phenomenal cocktails!
I had the quinoa burger with a salad and fries on the side. He had three different types of veggie burgers to choose from: black bean, lentil, or quinoa. I loved my meal, and it only cost 900 yen.
There were several other vegetarian and vegan options, but I was feeling a burger today. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for some comfort food, and maybe miss home a bit and need a familiar setting to drink and be merry.

Pros: Tons of vegetarian and vegan options, Friendly owner who speaks English, Right near Subway station

Cons: Smoking is allowed inside, Small, and right under the train line, Not suitable for a large party

Amazing food and atmosphere!

We really enjoyed our meal and drinks at The Blackstock. The atmosphere was vibrant and buzzing but homey at the same time. The gentlemen who runs the joint is a wonderful guy who speaks excellent english and will chat to you while he runs around doing everything! We ordered the Veggie Pie which was amazing and the eggplant pasta, also really tastey! He also makes a mean red sangria! Definitely recommend!

Just keep in mind it's next door to a Japanese place called The Blackstock Pub! These are separate places! It's right next door under the train tracks :)

Friendly staff, yummy food

They have an English menu, several vegetarian options that were confirmed by the server as vegan and the staff speak excellent English. They have a variety of beers (at least two vegan) and spirits. I had a virgin mojito that was amazing. The portions are small but reasonably priced (order everything vego). They prepared the dishes freshly in front of us. Our favourite were the onion rings.

Pros: Small, inexpensive portions so you can try everyth, Delicious food, Excellent quality of service
