Serves meat, vegan options available. Gastro pub in the village of Grassington, has clearly marked vegan items on the menu including soup, sandwiches, a bean burger, sweet potato & chickpea curry and American style pancakes for dessert. Happy to veganize dishes or offer alternatives. Staff confirmed has a separate fryer for cooking of chips, potato wedges, etc. Open Mon-Sat 11:00-23:00, Sun 11:00-22:30.

A selection of vegan options - Edit
The lentil curry is fabulous, really unusual fresh, aromatic flavors and clearly homemade. There is also an option for a vegan mushroom burger and veg fajitas. The creamy garlic mushrooms on sourdough for starter are also delicious. Nice big portions and you didn't feel like the vegan option are an after thought. Great staff and good atmosphere in the pub, often with live music. Recommend!

Good grub! - Edit
A couple of vegan options including vegan burger, chilli and curry. Bit of a higher price point tho, but worth visiting if you’re staying at the pub or nearby!

Very vegan friendly - Edit
We had a very good meal here with several choices and a willingness to adapt other veggie dishes. I chose a couscous salad which was very tasty though not quite filling enough as a main dish. However with a side of chips and a delicious apple and blackcurrant crumble with ice cream for dessert, I came away very satisfied.

Fabulous Restaurant - Edit
Amazing restaurant with vegan options. The lunch menu has a lovely vegan pizza and they will make a full size vegan pizza for main dinner option. Crumble is vegan and they have vegan ice cream which is delicious. The onion rings are also fantastic, massive and super crunchy!!

It's okay - Edit
No wow factor here but it was good enough to satisfy our hunger. The Gobi Aloo Saag was quite tasteless and I'm sure the average person cooking this at home could do a much better job by giving it the flavour it so desperately needed. At £13.50 I would expect better than this OR at least a bigger portion size to counter the lack of flavour as those of us that had this dish were still hungry so lucky we ordered chips as a side. The burger was apparently okay so I would probably order that next time and it was far cheaper.

Vegan Options In Grassington - Edit
I wanted lunch in Grassington and was not expecting to find anywhere catering for vegans, then I found The Black Horse Hotel, with clearly marked vegan options on the menu. I emailed and received a very positive reply confirming they used a separate fryer and could adapt dishes on the specials board too, so they are very amenable. I ordered a roast pepper and red onion wrap, with potato wedges, a simple sandwich filling, which can be tasteless (and I have had a few in my time). This was succulent, delicious and the potato wedges were totally moreish and even though I was full, by the time I finished, could easily have managed a few more. I would love to revisit and try their other options, including the delicious sounding American pancakes. Would be good if they also labelled wines as vegan friendly, maybe something they will look at in the future.
