Delicious vegan Black bean burger

I ate lunch here last weekend and it was fabulous. The staff was also so accommodating. I had the black bean burger in a salad and it was out of this world. I hardly go out to eat while on the cape cause the local restaurants are not very accommodating. The staff was fantastic and the food delicious!

Pros: Black bean burger , Accommodating staff who cared

Update July 2024: Very slim vegan options

The vegan bowl is no longer available. I ordered the bean burger and truffle fries, said I was vegan, and , asked about possible egg as a binder in the bean burger and any dairy on the fries. I was told they could leave the Parmesan off the fries, and the cashier seemed to check with a cook about the burger. I was not 100% sure the conversation was clearly understood because the cook said, “It’s made with vegetables.” It took forever to arrive, and when it did it was clearly a warmed up frozen patty, and there was butter on the bun. This place does not seem to have the capacity to accommodate vegans.

Pros: The fries were okay.

Cons: Questionably vegan, warmed from frozen bean burger, Vegan bowl advertised online not actually availabl, Butter on the bun after I said I was vegan.

Not a streamlined process for vegan

They only have a couple options that can be made vegan by means of omission, not substitution. I ordered the black bean burger without cheese to make it vegan. Side options are fries, tots or chips. I went with a side salad. I asked what else is fried in that same oil and it turns out chicken and fish are. I was then later told the black bean burger is cooked on the same surface as their meats. They kindly offered to fry it in a pan for me. The food was good but buyer beware, be sure you ask lots of questions.

Nice cafe with a few vegan options and good service

I got the black bean/sweet potato veggie burger which could be made vegan (in the tortilla wrap and removing the cheese). The dish was nice - nothing special, but given the limited vegan offerings in the area it was good. They also had a few other dishes that are vegan or can be made vegan.
