Underwhelming

This is a nice venue outside. The nachos were labelled as having a vegan option so I asked about this, but unfortunately the tortilla chips themselves contain milk powder. From memory, I don’t think there were any other vegan starter options. I had the burger (I’m not sure if there were any other vegan options) and it was alright, a standard burger. My partner (eats meat) was underwhelmed with his food. Probably wouldn’t visit again unless there was a change of menu. Staff are nice and welcoming.

Good menu options - dishes can be altered for vegan / vegetarian

There were good vegan alternatives on the menu... all standard pub grub.
I had the nachos to start and a plant based burger for main.
When it came to dessert I thought I'd come a cropper but there were some great options. In the end I chose the vegan pavlova and my friend had the vegan choc cake.
The staff understand food preferences and allergies well and there was a no judgement from the staff, which was really pleasing for such a rural location.

Pros: Menu can be adapted to suit vegan / vegetarian/ da, Staff welcoming and non judgemental

Cons: The dairy free cheese alternative didn't taste fab
