Home away from home!

We spent a weekend with Jan at the Beet Retreat in August to celebrate our Wedding, and we had an amazing time! Jan has an infectious, warm energy and made us feel so welcome immediately. It really felt like we were seeing an old friend!
We stayed in the Sunset room and ordered dinner one night. We found the room very very comfortable, and the home-cooked meal was absolutely divine!
A home away from home, with the friendliest animals, who also immediately made us feel at home!
Thank you again, so much, for having us Jan! and for making our weekend so special!

Pros: Friendly humans and animals , Close to Noosa, All vegan!

A refuge of health and well-being

What an unexpected pleasure it was to stay at The Beet Retreat during my travels.

Located on a quiet and picturesque block it has the perfect outdoor playground—a national park, lake and ocean beach—all within easy reach. And if that isn’t enough, its owner, Jan, not only provides a vegan B&B service, but also teaches vegan cooking classes in which students get to enjoy the beautiful meal which takes shape as a result of their efforts.

The Beet Retreat is very obviously built on foundations of kindness, health and well-being and these provide a gentle backdrop upon which a reinvigoration of one’s spirit can take place.

Jan is the perfect host who lives by her values and her vision for a better world. This is so much more than accommodation service; The Beet Retreat is a unique experience guaranteed to leave lasting memories.

Pros: Comfort, Spectacular food, Natural local attractions

A Fantastic Trip to The Beet Retreat!

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at The Beet Retreat and made great new friends during our time there. The property is fantastic, with significant space outside to relax and reset. The food each day was superb, giving us a great insight into whole food plant based diets that we could take home and apply to our usual vegan meal plan.
Jan was a great host and a fantastic cook! Her cats and her dog, Mac, were great company during our stay! All in all, we felt right at home, and its safe to say that this was the best accomodation we've stayed at in our several years of travel. We look forward to going back and having a nice getaway again soon!

Amazing

What an amazing retreat!
I found this vegan retreat on the Net and booked it.
It definitely exceeded my expectations!!
Beautiful, tranquil place with an amazing vibe.
Set on a beautiful property, surrounded by nature, in gorgeous QLD.
Jan is a beautiful soul who is welcoming, kind and fun to be around. She has a passion for vegan food and shows you how to create the most amazing vegan meals, that do not disappoint (even if you are a carnivore).
The food was the best vegan food I have ever had, and Jan's personalised cooking classes were priceless, not only informative, easy to follow, they left you with deliciously fantastic food and a wealth of knowledge.
IYou must visit the Beet Retreat, you will not be sorry!

A magical vegan B&B!

From the moment that we arrived to the moment we left, we were greeted with the utmost heart-warming hospitality with a smile, by Jan the owner.

We stayed in the Treetop room, which the views of the hills and trees is breathtaking especially when you wake up and the sun is shining through the big windows/sliding doors. A delicious breakfast is included with each night of your stay; the first day we had pancakes, and on the second day, we had a delicious warm porridge with blueberries and an assortment of condiments.

You can also opt for Jan to cook you a dinner (with dessert included) for each night of your stay for an an additional fee - which we would highly recommend as it was delicious. Even though being vegan, the food was not lacking in flavour whatsoever! We had ‘power protein burger’ with a wholesome salad, and for dessert we had one of the best vegan berry cheesecakes I’ve ever had! Jan also does cooking classes on the premise, which we didn’t do this time, but based on the food we had, we wouldn’t hesitate to learn a gem or two from Jan next time round.

We actually found out about this little hideaway because of a voucher we had received for our engagement (yes you can buy vouchers for your loved ones, too!), and I’m glad we booked and stayed because it was exactly what we needed for a quick getaway and recharge of our batteries. Thanks so much again for the food, hospitality, beautiful room, company of furry companions, and views!

Pros: EVERYTHING is vegan, Beautiful and clean rooms, Many furry animals to see and pat

OMG...♡♡♡♡♡

A gorgeous house with jaw dropping views, beautiful rescue animals (sheep, horses, chook, dog, cats), comfortable homely rooms and communal areas, a library of fascinating books and the wonderful ultramarathon-running passionate vegan-activist host, Jan who cooks up the most delicious but healthful brekkies and meals. We had some intriguing and thought provoking conversations and learnt so much from Jan despite already being long term vegans. This place must be experienced to be believed!

Pros: the welcome, the food, the views, the warmth...eve

Cons: you'd be hard pushed to find a negative!

A weekend of Health Vegan Food, beautiful animals and nature

Absolutely gorgeous. Jan is a passionate healthy vegan who cares for her animals and takes care of her guests as if they were family. Her food is beautiful and her cooking class was outstanding. I've been vegan for a while, but Jan taught us great things.

Pros: Healthy Food, Country Air, Modern Country Charm
