Very different plant based burger place - Edit
We had the Bam Bam Buffalo burger and Fries. Both tasted excellent. The pricing and speed of service was pretty good too. Very central.

Vegan burgers are usually poor. The Buffalo one there is quite nice.

Lovely lovely staff - Edit
Expensive food and disappointing portion size for price. Kentucky Fried cauliflower I expected to be breaded and fried. Was more like a roasted or baked cauliflower that was good in flavour but in now way KFC related. Fries were good.

Great burger joint - Edit
A noisy rock bar with vegan wine marked on the menu.
Read moreEaten here a lot and never had a bad burger - plus I love anywhere that does tater tots and vegan gravy.
The chicken patty is a bit thick - so if you don't like seitan, I'd avoid it.
A real great mix of options, a vegan special on Monday, and Mario Kart in the corner - what's not to like?
I'm surprised by the reviews mentioning mean staff, as I've always had really great interactions there
Pros: Dirty dirty burgers, Mario Kart, Lots of vegan options and vegan specials
Cons: Not somewhere to go if you're after a salad, Noisy rocky venue won't suit everyone

Loved Vegan BBQ Monday - Edit
I really enjoyed my visit to The B.East. The staff were super friendly, they had a really good selection of craft beers and really good vegan options on the menu. The decor is really cool and there's outdoor seating which is dog friendly.
Read moreI went for the vegan BBQ night that I'd seen advertised on their Facebook and I definitely wasn't disappointed. I did struggle to finish the whole plate so the portion size was really generous!
Would definitely reccommend.

Great place for vegans and omnis - Edit
This is a really great place if you want to go somewhere with heaps of vegan options but also not feel pushy on your non vegan friends and family. The chips are so delish! I really like the burgers the b.east offer, having a vegan option for all the meat burgers is awesome! The atmosphere is also really fun. I wish there was a bit more seats though as it’s quite a small place and gets busy pretty fast.

Enjoyed the vegan bbq plate - Edit
It was my first time coming here. I decided to have the vegan bbq plate. I wasn’t keen on the sausage but I loved the rest. It was a good idea to have the bun which I put brisket, coleslaw and pickles on. They had music playing but it was soft enough to talk. Service was nice and friendly too

Some vegan burgers - Edit
Good place to take Omni friends. Had the Morrissey burger and whilst it was good, it wasn’t the best I’ve had. As I was eating it I was thinking about the amazing burger at The Origin Tales down the road. The kids had Oreo shakes made with bonsoy which were great.

Bad mistakes and rude staff - Edit
Had a really horrible experience here on vegan soul food night. The staff were so rude to me when I was ordering. I asked for a burger but if I could swap the "beef" patty to a "chicken" patty. I said vegan chicken please and the women said "yeah obviously".
Read moreWell they served me a really chicken fillet. It was horrifying and made me feel ill. One woman was nice and she refunded me and gave me a vegan burger. In the end, the burger wasnt good and i was totally put off my meal. This was on vegan night that they served me actual chicken.
Pros: Lota of vegan options
Cons: Not that tasty, Rude staff, Was served meat

Good burger. - Edit
Seems like the quality has changed since last time I was there - had the Morrissey burger both times and quality was definitely not as good this time around. Still tasty though and a great "junk" treat. Staff have always been a bit off for me though, not a real friendly, welcoming vibe.

Gross veggie patties - Edit
We had the veggie patty burger and the morrissey. Both were underwhelming but the veggie patty was burnt on the outside and mushy inside.
Read moreMorrissey is a mock southern fried chicken burger but the seitan is way too thick the texture is off. The buns were pink and had an odd taste.
Didn't have fries as they in beer batter so not gf but seemed a bit pointless. Tater tots were best thing in menu.

Average - Edit
Went here for vegan Mondays with my mate. We both decided on the beyond burger special, which was meant to be double facon, double cheese and a beyond patty. We got our burgers and we both only had one slice of facon, one slice of cheese and a blackened burger patty that looked like it had been forgotten on the grill for all of eternity. Probably should've brought it up to someone working there but I was really hungover and starving and not in a state to be dealing with that. It also cost $19 and thats without chips, which seems a bit excessive to me. On the plus side, the food came out really quickly and the staff working there were nice. Probably wouldn't go back though.

Dishonest Service - Edit
I went here for a pub quiz with a group of vegans. Ordered the Big Mac burger and specified I'd like it vegan, then tried to order a Budvar beer. The barman told me they no longer stocked it but recommended the House Beer instead. I stupidly didn't double check that the House Beer was also vegan, assuming he wouldn't recommend it otherwise (seeing as I'd already specified with my food).
Read moreLater, a girl at my table told me the House Beer I was drinking wasn't vegan and I kicked myself, my hubby ordered different beers from then on.
At the end of the evening I went to chat with the same barman asking if the House Beer was vegan. He said, 'yes, it's vegan' confused because of the girl at my table I specified 'so, it doesn't have any animal products used in the fining process?', to which he responded 'no, not that I'm aware of, I've been told by management that it's vegan' which got a perplexed response from me. He then said, 'did you ask me when you got it if it's vegan?', and l said 'no, you recommended it as a replacement to Budvar' to which he said 'well, yeah it's definitely not vegan l thought you mighta asked before so that's why I said it was..'.
Which was..really shady of him. I accept I should have checked at the start but found the later lying when he knew the whole time super uncool. The burger was sloppy but tasty and the place is very trendy but I don't think I'll be hurrying back with that kind of service. Just a heads up to everyone else.
Pros: Tasty food., Efficient female waitress clearing tables., Cool, creative space.
Cons: Dishonest service., On the pricier side., Not a great range of lager.

Pub night out with the B.east - Edit
Yep, it's worth the trip. Vegan items are marked on the menu. The burger is amazing as are the fries. Other burgers were available, including a vegetarian one (as opposed to vegan) but I doubt I would ever go past the Morrissey!

Despite the [censored] waiter who obviously hates her job, the Morrissey burger was hella good, as were the chippys. Food was served super fast too! "Zero" gelato is directly across the road, and they had 5 tasty vegan sorbet flavours to choose from for desert. All in all it was solid.
