Easy for vegans and great coffee! - Edit
Loved that there was a separate blackboard with vegan options on it. The staff were helpful and the cafe had a nice ambience.
Read moreMy toastie was delicious. Beautifully seasoned on nice thick pumpkin bread.
The coffee was also good, with a nice colour and flavour, served at the right temperature.
In this small country town, it's great to see such a high standard, and some variety of, vegan food and decent coffee.

Fewer options than last time - Edit
I recently popped in to The Aspy as I had previously visited when I was in the area and remembered they had a large vegan offering with GF options. Unfortunately this time they had only a vegan toastie on the menu, so as we had a coeliac with us we had to go elsewhere. There were quite a few vegan cakes in the display, though. Perhaps fewer options were available due to it being a Sunday as other recent reviews have mentioned more options.

Cons: Only one savoury vegan option on the menu, No GF savoury options

No more vegan pies? - Edit
Stopped by to try the rumoured vegan pies and sadly just beef pie was on offer. Nothing on the menu looked vegan. Walked out empty handed.

Good Vegan Menu - Edit
Very surprised to find such a great little cafe in a small town that had so many vegan options. And what there was absolutely delicious, well cooked and presented. Even brought some takeaway items to have thru the week for lunch.

Nice place to eat - Edit
I went to the Aspy today for lunch. There were 3-4 vegan items on the menu. Staff were very friendly. I ordered the vegan burger, which was lovely, but for $19 I would have loved a handful of chips with it. It was just a burger on its own. I bought a vegan mushroom and leek pie ($8 - normal pie sized, not a family sized pie) to bring home and eat for lunch tomorrow. They had three flavours to choose from today - mushroom and leek, mushroom and asparagus and Tuscan vegetable. There were a variety of vegan sweet truffle/balls in the glass cabinet to choose from as well as two or so vegan slices.
