Tasty but limited breakfast options

This place is really nice. I ate here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner.

There was a mix up with the dishes at lunch and I was given the chicken dish intended for the man at the next table. Unfortunately he’d eaten most of mine before he realised so they had to make me a new meal from scratch. They were very apologetic and handled it really well, I thought.

They have some nice cold drinks and juices available.

Only downside is there are limited options for breakfast/brunch. I had the avocado toast with the eggs removed.

Vegan pancakes! Yum!

The vegan pancakes were delish! A good crunch around the outside. Such a good serving of fruit as well. Would recommend for breakfast while in SJDS.

Tasty brunch

Really cool vibe and would be a great place to hang out and do some work/read/etc. About a third of their menu is vegan. My friends and I all enjoyed our food. Tried the Banana Oat pancakes, Nica Tipica (has eggs and cheese), and smoothies - everything was good!

best vegan food i ate in nicaragua so far

we both had the vegan curry and added some tofu.
it was sooo delicious i would give 5 stars if possible. also the cappuccino with almond milk and the green smoothie were very good.
prices are 100cordobas more for each right now so the fotos of the menu in this app are old

One of BEST pancakes in San Juan del Sur!

We love art warehouse for breakfast. They have really delicious vegan options and a nice ambience. I had their vegan banana oat pancakes many times and they’re delicious. My partner had the taco bowl and it was great but just remember to tell them no cheese if you’re vegan. I also tried their cappuccino with almond milk and it was really nice and tasty. Overall, great option for vegans in San Juan del Sur.

Pros: Amazing vegan pancakes , Lovely art ambience , Vegan coffees and drink options

Try the pancakes!

Vegan options clearly marked on the menu, vegan milk available for coffees and smoothies. The banana pancakes are awesome, they come with this light banana cream sauce and fruit, I really enjoyed them. I also had the chia oat bowl, it was okay. The cacao soul warmer smoothie is tasty, strong banana flavor but I enjoyed it. There's art and jewelry from local producers to check out and the space is also an art studio in the back where you can book studio time. Free wifi as well.

Good

I really like the food, there is a broad selection of vegan options. I just find that the portions are sometimes a bit small if you have a big appetite, and the mention « vegan option available » sometimes consists in just taking out an ingredient. But the food is still very good and the vibe is very nice here 😌

Just ok

We ordered the tapas and the Red curry - curry was pretty decent to be fair but the tapas dish was a proper disapointment, the hummhs tasted off and the celery was really dirty - but even if that wasnt the case i wouldnt get the dish because it was like 6 pieces of toast and then the smallest dips youve ever seen so it just wasnt propotioned right at all. Its a more upmarket place to expensive for the area and just didnt deliver.

Atmosphere and Smoothie amazing

This place is super cute and cozy. I really enjoyed just sitting there. The fans made the heat bearable.
I came here for breakfast and ordered the cacao soul warmer which came quickly and was sooooo good🤤. As food I ordered the vegan option of the Tostada Rica which unfortunately was really disappointing. I really thought I would get a replacement for the eggs but they were simply left out. In addition, the taste of the onions was so strong that you couldn't taste anything else. What really annoyed me was that they charged the same price for the vegan option even though it was less.
Service was friendly and quick :).

Great overall concept

The place is really amazing. It starts with the look and the ambiente. As you can see in the pictures they put a lot of effort in the decoration and the small details. Behind the "main restaurant" is a small art gallery were you can eat as well also they do workshops there.
We spoke to the owner of the place and Ruth is just lovely. She is not only concerned about health& nutriousious food for but also about sustainable and the local community.
She told us that the menu just changed this week and every week (after this week) you have a daily special.
You can make 90% of the dishes vegan, but you have also cheese and chicken options.
We ate a grilled cheese sandwich and a squash Thai curry. Both was perfect. The sandwich was grilled on point not burned and not to raw. The curry tasted fresh and it is served with brown rice and all the drinks are served with aluminium straws. The napkins are out of fabric so they can be reused.
I can only recommend the place!

A Must Visit

Mission behind this place is great. Hidden little cove in the heart of San Juan del Sur, a great comfortable vibe inside with the friendliest staff and best food/drinks. Try the curried hummus toast with butternut squash, carrots, red onion and cilantro (they give you house made chili oil that you will want to put on EVERYTHING). Tons of other options and customizations available. Pretty cheap as well (few $ for fresh smoothies, $5 for 2 pieces of homemade and loaded toast) Bonus that smoothies and such are served with all environmentally friendly and/or reusable wear!

Pros: Delicous, Good ambience, Friendly staff

Beautiful space with nourishing food.

I enjoyed my time at the art warehouse. I had the Jackson pollock which was absolutely delicious and nourishing. The coffee was really good too. Aside from the seating area, there is a space to paint and draw. The environment was open and inspiring, and the staff offered the space to come and create. Although a bit pricey, the place is beautiful, open and abundant in good quality food.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Delicious healthy salad

I had the Jackson Pollock salad which was incredibly delicious. It had bulgar wheat topped with salad, cashews, and cheese less pesto. Staff are well informed what the vegan options are. They have an art studio in the back which you can use craft supplies to make diy projects.

Pros: Vegan Options, Friendly staff , Beautiful decor
