You don’t have to be a cat person to check this place out! - Edit
Great central location, as the name suggests, the entrance is down an alleyway!

Really delicious food and lovely service. We shared a hot dog, Cajun fries, haggis fries, battered mushrooms, and a tuna melt. All lovely. The 'tuna' was the best I've had.

Great Vegan Food - Edit
We ate at the Alley Cat during our stay in Inverness. We were very impressed with the food! We started the evening out with a strawberry milkshake and Haggis Bon Bons. We really enjoyed the flavor or both. For the meal, I got Fish and Chips. The look and flavor of the fish was spot on and the chips were seasoned nicely. My partner got the lasagna and said it was great. Service was quick and friendly. We enjoyed ourselves and will come back if we ever go back to Inverness.

Cool for cats - Edit
Just off the main shopping street. Really pleasant staff who, if busy will reserve a table for you to come back in say 15 mins. We had loaded fries, and the breaded mushrooms which came with homemade mayo. Also had 2 fruit coolers which were super refreshing. They also gave vegan cakes, and a soup of the day.

Cute café and the only vegan place in Inverness! - Edit
I loved this place. Unfortunately I only visited during lunch hours so the menu was kinda limited (sandwiches, loaded fries, hot dogs)... But the place has a beautiful cosy interior and the staff were really, really nice and friendly. My tuna melt sandwich was incredible!
Read moreBe aware the place tends to get crowded, the number of tables is limited and more people kept coming and had to wait for a table. Reservation therefore might be a good idea.
Pros: Wonderful staff, Great food, Centrally located
Cons: Limited opening hours, Limited menu

Tolles Cafe - Edit
Wir waren zum Dinner dort. The Alleycat liegt in einer unscheinbaren Gasse, ohne diese App hätten wir es vermutlich nicht gesehen. Die Auswahl ist fantastisch, die Mitarbeitern war unglaublich freundlich. Absolute Empfehlung!

Decent food - Edit
Visited here for lunch. My partner had a chocolate milkshake and BBQ pulled pork loaded fries. He said both were good but not great. I had a raspberry lemonade, haggis and cheese toastie and a brownie. The lemonade was very nice and the brownie was delicious, however the toastie was tasty but a little dry.

I took my vegan 18 year old daughter and my 12 year old (non vegan, sceptic) niece to eat at the Alleycat and we all 3 really enjoyed ourselves. The food was fresh and tasty and the lovely man running it was really friendly.

Soup was delicious!!! It tasted homemade in the best way and the bread and butter were on point.
Read moreHot dog was really tasty too. Chips loaded with haggis tasted a bit too “mushroomy” for me but if you don’t mind that then I’d totally recommend trying them!
It was such a lovely place.

The only vegan restaurant in Inverness - Edit
Only fully vegan restaurant in Inverness, nice! I ate the haggis bites (starter) and the fish & chips (main). Amazing how the “Fish” tasted! Homemade tartare sauce would have been a nice extra. The green peas lacked some inspiration (like fresh herbs?).

Best and only fully vegan establishment in Inverness, had to try it! The service is friendly and prompt, and the food is very good. As I’m boring I went for the full breakfast, it was well cooked, good sized and fairly priced, I particularly liked their homemade haggis.
