Separate vegan menu

This place is perfect after a long walk nearby (Leith hill tower), separate vegan menu. I had the onion bhaji burger and vegan arancini to start. The server said all the arancini's were vegan, even the ones off the non vegan menu. Would definitely recommend this cosy country village pub 😋😋

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Desserts!

Lovely place and nice food

We were happy to find this place. They have a separate vegan menu with different options. Our dishes (arancini, pea soup, poke bowl, pan cake, desserts) were all very tasty. Lovely staff and a very nice atmosphere.

Disappointing

We ordered the hatch nachos which were just crisps with a tiny bit of vegan cheese and baked beans on. Could have been a lot better in my opinion. We then had the rustica pizza which I wasn’t a fan of as it had way too many caramelised onions on which made it quite bitter tasting. For dessert we had the oreo chocolate dirt pot which was also very disappointing. It was basically a few Oreos in a jar with a bit of chocolate sauce for £6.50. I found it all very overpriced for the quality of food. Won’t be returning but I guess it’s a pro that the pub does actually have a vegan menu, just wasn’t to our taste.

Pros: Separate vegan menu

Cons: Expensive, Long wait, Food wasn’t great

Delicious vegan food

I had the vegan Buddha bowl with cauliflower wings as extra. Huge bowl of different grains, pulses and veg including some crispy noodles which gave it interesting textures too.
There is a vegan menu which you have to ask for.. plenty of choice of starters , mains and dessert. Looking forward to going back to try something else on the menu.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Lovely rural setting , Beautiful pub

Cons: You need to book
