Best Hotel in Interlaken - Edit
The Aarburg Hotel & Café is not only one of the best hotel options in the city of Interlaken, they offer some of the most delicious and healthy vegan and vegetarian options as well. I was fortunate to experience both.
Read moreThe hotel experience is quaint and charming with a view that captures all of the highlights of the Swiss Alps - the mountains, the turquoise water, the antique buildings. And you have the luxury of staying right above a delicious breakfast cafe that showcases many choices to pick. It was wonderful to wake up, and take the stairs to the ground floor every morning, knowing we had a tasty breakfast option right nearby. (You can order from the menu, or grab from the complimentary breakfast for hotel guests).
The lunch vegan options are green, bountiful, and all tasty. It was like an oasis during a vending machine food drought when we finally arrived to Interlaken that provided that good vegan food that makes you feel full and satisfied in your soul.
In the evening they also offer cocktails to sip after an adventurous day of travel.
The Aarburg is a great spot to check out. The only downside is that it is not entirely vegan, but don’t let that stop you from visiting, and potentially staying, the next time you are in Interlaken.

Awesome food, friendly staff - Edit
Theres several vegan options on the menu, depending on the seasons they vary. The staff is super friendly and well informed what vegan means. Soup of the day is vegan often. Also has a vegan cake most of the times. The cheesecake is a dream!

There were about 5 different vegan options plus oat milk for the beverages. We went two days in a row and everything we had was delicious, and the service was great.

Great coffee and coffee ice cream - Edit
Cute cafe with a great view. Best coffee we found in the area. They have vegan ice cream from a local brand and the coffee flavored one was phenomenal.
Read moreThe kitchen closes at 2pm, which is unfortunate because it meant we couldn’t eat anything when we stopped by, but service was friendly and it was lovely to sit out on the terrace for a bit.

Perfect options for Interlaken - Edit
Clearly marked vegan options on the menu. Not too many, but not only one. Vegetable milk for coffees. Staff actually understands what vegan means and is able to double check / adjust non-standard items like soup of the day for you. Occasionally have also vegan cakes.

Food you actually want to eat. Healthy, nutritious, filling and a great variety. Menu isn't too big that you know it is freshly prepared but menu big enough you'll want to come back to try something else.
