I Always make a stop here - Edit
Anytime I travel through Amarillo, I look forward to coming here. They are vegan friendly, artistic and have resources that help people out in hard times. People have made reviews saying the staff is rude but every time I go there, they aren't rude but aren't overly nice either, just real, simple and straightforward and that doesn't bother me. They still smiled and made my order well. I Love the artwork, support for local artists, and the variety of coffee was great. Love the atmosphere, plants, and witchy vibes. I also like the options for outdoor seating. Quiet and chill.

Good coffee, Interesting vibe - Edit
The coffee I got was good. Got just a black drip coffee from them. The cafe itself has a goth vibe to it. With interesting art for sale on the walls. Unique place and worth it to check out.

The rudest experience I’ve ever had - Edit
Walking in it’s a cute little spot! This was my first time coming in and I was excited I finally had to time to stop by! I soon was upset due to how the guy working the counter was speaking to me. He loved talking to me as if I was stupid! I even made a comment “wow, I just love how you’re speaking to me” he quickly apologized but then proceeded to talk down to me again! So I asked my husband to check us out as I said out loud He’s starting to upset me. As a business owner myself I would never talk to a costumer the way this man talked to me, silly question or not! I was really disappointed!…. After leaving this exact review on Google, he responds with three lies about me and my behavior that day, really just shows how terrible this man is to his customers!

Good Food Bad Service - Edit
We drove through this area and decided to have to stop in for some take out. We ordered the quinoa salad and chili. Both are small portions and the container for the chili leaked all over us. I understand they don't want to use plastic but the cardboard container was flimsy. Since we were in a car, it go all over us. The manager or boss was very rude to us and the cashier whom he was training. I think he took offense to us wearing masks or something. He said he can't hear what I was saying without being even one bit polite. I won't stop by there again.

NOTHING VEGAN - Edit
Why is everything popping up as vegan when they have nothing vegan, and nothing vegetarian.

Excellent vegan chili - Edit
Portions are a bit small, but the prices are good. In addition to the chili, we had the grilled cheese sandwich which comes with 2 toppings (we chose portobello mushrooms and tomatoes). All made fresh so not fast, but it’s a nice place to relax.

Trendy and local. Delicious vegan chili!! - Edit
They have light vegan options like a hummus platter and a quinoa salad. They have several plant milks added to their own coffee creations. They also serve teas and craft beer.

The coffee/bar/food menu/ and art is eclectic. The menu is small but covers all veggie and vegan options you could want.

Vegetarian with a few vegan options (great tea) - Edit
@the806coffelounge is a unique vegetarian spot with some very interesting artwork, which we all enjoyed (although some may not appreciate the nudity in a few pieces). Their menu has a few vegan options and a couple of them are also gluten free (although, I would have loved more options). The staff was very nice and helped me choose a tea flavor, which was delicious and full of citrus per my request. Isabel loved her hummus and toasted pita, which was beautifully laid out. I tried a bit of Isabel's hummus and it was so yummy! Dan and I ordered chili, which had a great flavor but was, unfortunately, a bit spicy for me. When we left, I noticed a bookshelf with a few board games. The 806 seems like a great place to do some work or hang out with friends while enjoying a warm drink and a bite to eat.

Gritty & great - Edit
“Quirky” a great description. This place feels like it’s been relocated from Portland (in a good way). Strange/amazing art on the walls, strange/amazing music at night, and good veggie fair and beverages all the time.

Is what it is - Edit
Great place for a snack but not for the family. They have great tea and coffee oh and beer. The hummus and vegan chili are fine but nothing to write home about.
Read moreA lot of the negative reviews talk about the atmosphere. It is what I would call gritty/urban/punkish with a somewhat dangerous feel. A cheap casual place for teens and college kids.
It is what it is. Not every place with vegan food has to have potted orchids, trickling water and sitar music.
Pros: beer, graffiti
Cons: wobbly table

Unspeakably bad and lame - Edit
We weren't expecting much but what we got was easily one of the worst dining experiences we've had. We like to support local vegetarian and vegan joints but it's clear this place is only "vegetarian" because they're afraid they might poison someone with bad meat. Seriously, there was no veggie vibe of any sort. Here's what we got instead.
Read moreWe got in at 7 PM on a Monday and waited one hour for a bread sandwich and by "bread" sandwich I mean that my hummus had almost nothing on it other than two slices of bread and the other "grilled" cheese sandwich was unmelted bagged shredded cheese on cold toast. Folks, this is not an exaggeration, stay away from this place, stay far away. Unless you just want a drink and a window into the local hipster scene, then I'm sure it's fine. But food? No, a big En Oh.
Pros: not a single thing
Cons: understaffed and unprofessional, slow and dirty, bad food

Place with dirty & x-rated decor - Edit
We were on a road trip across the US recently, and were just passing through Amarillo Texas and needed a restaurant that served organic healthy food and found this place online so decided to check it out. First of all it is in a very shady part of town. The place itself is dingy, and dark. The service was not at all friendly. The food took too long to arrive, and they didn't even apologize for it taking so long. The food when it arrived was nothing I couldn't have put together in my own kitchen! The prices were too expensive for this low quality of food. The walls were filled with naked pictures of the human anatomy both male and female. What a terrible place!
