Also sells some frozen foods like faux meat, curries and may other fresh and frozen grocery products in the small market area of the restaurant. Reported closed September 2019.

So sad they’re closing! - Edit
We come here every Saturday for lunch after my kids have karate. The kids love the pad Thai, soup, and burger. I love the curries. We will miss them, we’ll visit their other locations but this one was our favourite 😢

We were so impressed with this cafe and understand why it consistently receives such great reviews. All of our meals were delicious and serving sizes large. The satay skewers were the best I’ve had. They serve a mix of Thai and western foods (beyond burger, poutine) and a small display case of cupcakes. Freezer is full of mock meats and sauces at reasonable prices to recreate meals at home.

I was there this winter with my man and we were blown away! The staff is so friendly and generous, we were offered to taste different curries before making our choices and we were treated to some free treats during our meal! Pad Thai was perfect and to our delight so was the Poutine!! I also recommend any of their curries, it was so hard to chose between them; there is no wrong choice!!

Delicious vegan Thai food, super friendly people - Edit
I'm revising my review from 3 years ago because since then, this place has really become one of my favourites. This place does have less selection on their menu in terms of the 'Western' items, but they have so many great Thai options. I always get the cashew ginger chicken. Their fake meat is some of the best I've had anywhere, and that dish is great. Pretty much everything I've had there has been tasty.

I have been coming here regularly for over a year and their food is consistently high quality and has a great taste.....as long a you are ok with spicy food. My favorites are the green and yellow Thai curries. Good selection, helpful staff. Also, try their coffee, it’s really good

The food had a nice flavour and the servings were generous, but it came out lukewarm, the green curry came out of a tureen so that the vegetables were overcooked, and it seemed you're expected to load your own dishes onto a cart at the back of the restaurant. Not bad for a quick lunch but there are better places in Calgary.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant since I went vegan a couple of months ago. Luckily they did not disappoint! The food presentation was lovely, and everything was delicious. My mom had the yellow curry and I had the Pad Thai with the veg "beef". I can't wait to go back and try out some more options!

What a great addition to Calgary's vegan food scene. Easy to get to off MacLeod Tr and reasonably priced. The items on the menu are mostly Asian. Servings are quite large and very tasty.

I had the pulled jack fruit poutine with cashew cream sauce!! And it was beautiful such a large portion for a really good price! Couldn’t even finish my meal. The cheese cake and the brownies were also delicious,Poutine is spicy so if you don’t like spice watch out.!

Super impressed with this little place! The pad Thai was super filling (really nice portion) and flavourful. We got it with the “beef,” and the texture and taste was really good. Another couple in the restaurant cleared their plates with lots of food still left on them, and I saw the main chef come out and make sure it wasn’t because they didn’t like it! She was really kind and encouraged them to ask if they wanted any changes to make sure they were really happy. I saw her freely giving samples of different dishes to new customers as well. Overall it seems like everyone here genuinely wants you to have a great meal!

I love the Thai Vegan Cafe and also just love hearts choice as a company. We always buy their faux meat and curries for home. Green curry is incredible. Good prices and awesome food. Plus the Lady who's always working is the sweetest.

We arrived shortly after opening and even then our food was ready in no more than 10 minutes for a group of six who all ordered different things! Every dish looked great and the ones I tasted were awesome. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Calgary!

Read moreIt's by far my favourite place in all of Calgary to grab a quick and delicious meal. Satay skewers and ginger tofu never disappoint! Everything about the cafe is amazing. You absolutely need to eat here if you love Thai food - vegan or not.

This restaurant was terrific! They offered a lot of choices, and were very helpful in making suggestions for what to order. It has choices that will please vegans and meat-eaters alike, with its vegetable-centric dishes that are covered in delicious sauces. The desserts were fantastic too!

Read moreThe name highlights that it is a cafe and not a restaurant so keep that in mind and you won't be disappointed. Everything I have had has been excellent.
Our favourite is Thai yellow curry with coconut rice and salad with Glory bowl dressing followed by macaroons or chocolate cake. The cakes are from another supplier that the owners buy in but they are very good. Its our favourite place to eat in Calgary. Would love to see non GMO/organic produce being served.
The staff are friendly and welcoming and it is very popular which is great to see.
Free parking right outside - very convenient.
Pros: 100% Vegan, Excellent food, Quick service

First of you enter the place and you are greeted by the most welcoming amazing people, really nice to talk to, and then you got the food really tasty and really good for you, I didn't had to ask for ingredients everything is VEGAN, they have also some of their dishes in frozen containers for you to take home, it is not expensive and worth checking out, this is for sure my new place, I will recommend this place for everyone not just vege/vegans
