Pineapple fried rice!!

I love that dish, you have to ask for it, as it’s not on the menu. Good vegan options and a nice place for soup. Best Pad Thai, just ask for no egg, they put a good amount of veggies in this.
Wish they would open up the outside area, looks cute.
They can get very busy.

Fresh & Delicious

Our entire meal was excellent. Miso soup, veggie pad Thai with tofu, Massamun curry with tofu, fresh rolls, Oolong Tea.

Service was fast and friendly.

One suggestion - a clear vegan indicator on the menu would be helpful.

Pros: Plenty of vegan options, Fantastically fresh, Delicious

Best Thai food in Sedona

Loved this place. Best food we had in Sedona. My husband got Cashew Nuts and Vegetables and I ordered Tempeh Garlic Vegetables. Both were very tasty.

Pros: Inexpensive , Large portions , Great service

Amazing Food

I got the Massaman Curry and my friend got the panang and both were so flavor and delicious. Also got the fresh spring rolls which were extremely fresh and crisp. Will definitely visit again. Staff was super friendly.

Not so great

I hate leaving negative reviews. Honestly. I wanted to like this place. Family run and very friendly staff. I went in about two hours before closing and sat down. Server was knowledgeable and efficient, but that's all the good. The decor is horribly outdated. My tablecloth and wall beside had visible food stains that were not fresh. It just didn't feel clean. Spring rolls were pretty good. Average. I ordered a tempeh dish with veggies but ended up with a bland veggie curry. I was starving so I ate it after the server confirmed it was vegan. I didn't find the dipping spoon for my curry until I was halfway finished because it was too small for the bowl. Very odd. I also wasn't given an extra bowl/plate, so the whole experience was just off. Again, I really wanted to like this place but the food and atmosphere totally killed it. Hopefully my experience isn't the norm.

Pros: Family owned/run, Decent prices , Friendly staff

Cons: Not clean, Outdated and bland vibe , Inaccurate order

Yummy

We had the almond curry vegetables and the vegetarian pad thai (sans egg) from the Veggie Lovers menu, both with tofu. Staff seemed knowledgeable about making things vegan.

Pros: Huge portions , Tastes great

Great food, large portions

Great food and friendly service once seated. The only downside was when we first got there the lady at the front was not really nice and said we had a long wait when it was short.

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Lots of vegetarian options, Great food, huge portions

Cons: Front desk staff

There is no vegan food on the menu.

They made a burrito for us but the rice and refried bean have meat broth.

Pros: We came up with a burrito using menu items

Cons: No vegan food on the menu, Staff not accommodating

Odd solo dining experience

I was traveling (and dining) alone. They first walked me into the main dining area, where there were several tables set for 3. I was told there is nothing for 1 and escorted to a separate, dark room with no one else. I watched other small parties being seated in the main area as I considered whether my attire was inappropriate. I really felt I was inconveniencing them. I thought about getting my food to go (or going elsewhere) when another single diner walked in and the same happened!! He was walked to the main room, then banished to the land of the singles! Eventually they did seat other parties in the room with us, but it was certainly a strange experience.

The red curry was good, but I’ve had better.

Pros: Vegan options are clearly identified

Cons: Expect unusual service if you are dining alone

Delicious Vegan Thai

While Thai restaurants often have good vegan options, I love that Thai Spices has a very clear section on their menu marked as appropriate for vegans with no animal products. Red curry is one of my favorite dishes and not only was it nice to be assured that they could offer this as entirely vegan, I have never seen it offered with tempeh (along with tofu and lots of veggies). It was one of the best red curries I have ever had. Thai Spices was a little pricey compared to Thai places I typically go to, but that seemed par for the course for Sedona, so I don't think it was unreasonably expensive. I also ate this leftover and had two very big meals. My husband had the garlic tempeh and veggies dish, which was good, but not as noteworthy in my opinion as the red curry.

Pros: Vegan section of menu, Delicious red curry, tempeh as a protein offering in some dishes

Cons: Bit pricey

Overpriced, mediocre food - with a mandatory gratuity for parties of 4!

I had the pad thai. The food is tasty, but wayyyy overpriced!! I was shocked that they charged the mandatory gratuity/"service fee" for only 4 people! Most restaurants do that for large parties. I don't think I've ever seen a mandatory gratuity for less than 6 or 8 people. So the fact that Thai Spices did this for only 4 people is ridiculous! AND we had requested 2 separate bills (2 bills for 2 people each) but they STILL charged the mandatory gratuity!! If you're a family or party of 4+ be prepared to be overcharged for not only the food but also the gratuity. The service wasn't even that great so they really should not be charging a service fee!! I would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant.

Pros: tasty food, decent atmosphere, easy parking

Cons: overpriced, mandatory gratuity

Wonderful Thai cuisine

Was happy we decided to stop at Thai Spices. They have plenty to choose from for their vegan patrons. Too many good options to choose from actually! The fresh rolls are a must try ($10 can be a bit of sticker shock, but you won’t be disappointed) food came out fast and was very delicious. And my husband and I both had enough for leftovers the next day. Highly recommend this establishment.

Pros: Plenty of vegan options, Fast and friendly service

Cons: A little pricey but not too bad

Great choice for vegans in Sedona

A delicious place for Thai vegan food, all of the staff were awesome and very friendly, helpful and respectful of vegan diets ... one of the best ginger sauces with a gorgeous array of vegetable that I’ve had at a Thai restaurant. We have eaten at MANY restaurants in Sedona, and this has been one of the most enjoyable and delicious dining experiences we have had here - highly recommend!

Pros: Most menu items can be veganized, Staff fully aware and respectful of vegan diets, Views are unbeatable

Cons: Decor a tad dated but still charming

Okay but nothing special x 10

The restaurant closes for a couple of hours between lunch and dinner service. We were determined to eat here and showed up the first time when the restaurant was closed. We came back another evening for dinner.
The restaurant has two rooms. One looks quite attractive. We were in the other room which was not attractive at all. I think it was for the convenience of the servers since the restaurant was not crowded.
We ordered spring rolls, summer rolls, pad thai, the silver noodle (bean threads) lover's dish, and fried rice. I think we also had an order of fried tofu in there.
My family enjoys Thai food very much. We always order it with no fish sauce and cross our fingers. At this restaurant there is a separate vegetarian section, but there were also dishes in the regular menu that were veg not on the veg menu.
We enjoyed the summer rolls, but the rest of the dinner we found to be bland and greasy. This was especially disappointing since I had read so many rave reviews.
The wait staff was very pleasant.
If you are travelling and need to find a place to get a meal, you could definitely do worse than Thai Spices. However, we were staying in a place with a kitchen and after this meal we decided not to eat out again during our time in Sedona.

Great Flavors!

Owner Pearl Pardee understands whole food plant based cooking. This is one of the only restaurants in Sedona where you can request a meal made without added oils - and it tastes wonderful. The veggies are fresh and cooked just right and spices are flavorful - and the staff and owner are very attentive. We will come here often.

Pros: Lovely outdoor patio in back, Whole food plant-based items - nearly everything c

Okay but nothing special

When I went with a group of all vegans we all had ordered curry dishes and unfortunately everyone was underwhelmed. We had asked for our food to be vegan and from what we assume, the coconut milk was subbed with water for some reason. Personally my dish was flavorless and watery which also seemed to be mostly everyone's consensus with their own food. I can't speak for their other vegan items but I was personally disappointed.

Quite Possibly the Best Thai Food I've Ever Had!

We'll be returning to Thai Spices from now on when we visit Sedona annually. I love Thai food, but especially Thai food that I don't have to specify no egg, no fish sauce, etc., etc...

They have a Veggie Lovers Menu with all the hits and none of the animals. (Pad Thai, Curries, Etc.) You must try their soups!! We tried both the Hot & Sour and the Miso soup and they were packed with fresh, delicious vegetables!

You can really taste the love and health made into their food. Can't wait to come back.

Pros: Healthy, Veggie Lovers Menu, Good Service

Amazing Vegan Thai Food-Don't Miss this Sedona Gem

I'm a Food Snob, and a Vegan (and an organic cookbook author) and this might have been the best Thai Food I've ever eaten. THEY HAVE SO MANY GREAT INTERESTING easy to identify VEGAN CHOICES!!! Tempeh and Tofu! Know that I am not a purist and I don't know if this is really truly "traditional Thai food". I have, however, been to a zillion Thai food restaurants and this was the best. The food was fresh, not oily, had amazing flavors, abundant portions and they have great service and beautiful photo art on the walls. We had the Fresh Roll Wrap(Vegetable--see photo), Tom Yum and Ginger Vegetable Soups, Cucumber Salad (great dressing!), Vegetarian Pad Thai with Tofu, Almond Curry Vegetables (Thai style), Three Herbs Vitality (Ginger, Garlic & Turmeric) with Vegetable and they had Brown Rice which is always nice! Bring the family; any foodie can be accommodated here with whatever their protein preference is. Do not miss this Sedona Gem!

I love healthy thai food

I've been eating at Pearl ' restaurant for years and have never been disappointed and it seems to get better and better. I like to try new dishes lately and have been pleasantly pleased at the variety this natural Thai food has. Unlike other restaurants that have a few basic sauces, here its always very fresh and I know it's alot organic from going there for so long. I Recommend It. Vegans and vegetarians need to just ask for the food the way they want it.

Pros: organic, No ms or anything even close, uses palm sugar

Cons: Sometimes service can be off, like to see more organic drinks
