A busy spot with lots of tasty vegan choices - Edit
I used to live in Kingsport, and the restaurant options for vegans have never been great. I visited Thai Riverside on a recent trip, and was pleasantly surprised by how much is available for vegans.
Read moreThe staff was helpful in determining whether options were vegan by default. They told us the spring rolls and curry options were vegan, so we had red curry and Massaman curry.
I suspect most of the menu either is already vegan or could trivially be made so. At the very least, most of it is vegetarian because you have to request meat specifically if you want it added. In most cases it should be a simple matter of taking an egg off, or requesting no fish sauce.
Our entrees were both very good. I wouldn't say this restaurant stacks up against a few more authentic places I've eaten at, but it's very nice to get a fresh made meal in Kingsport. Great place to go with family.
