Fantastic! Would give 5 star if I could . - Edit
I will fully admit I didn’t know what to expect but we were traveling and needed vegan options. Ok my mind was BLOWN! It was delish. And I mean not delish “for a small town / limited options” just straight up super tasty. I got the panang curry with tofu and my partner got the green curry w/ veggies. Both were super flavorful with just the right amount of spice. I do wish there was either more rice or less curry b/ the ratio for me were a little off but that could be just me. Highly recommend!

It’s food, it’s vegan. - Edit
Based on all the great reviews, I had expected more of this place. We ordered takeout, and while the staff was more than happy to point out all vegan options, the food was incredibly lackluster. Especially for Thai food, it was plain bland and our pad Thai had only trace amounts of vegetables. Maybe you have more luck if you dine in, the place seemed accommodating to vegans.

Go To Vegan Option in Alamosa - Edit
I come to Alamosa a few times/year for work and Thai Hut is always reliable delicious option. Their dinner options are great and filling and their vegan lunch bento box is my favorite lunch in the valley!

Delicious Dinner! - Edit
We ordered the Panang Curry with tofu and the Vegan Sushi Combo platter. They were both delicious and were prepared very quickly. I would highly recommend this as a place to grab dinner. The atmosphere is cozy and the service was excellent!

Very Vegan Friendly - Edit
Our friendly waiter enthusiastically pointed out all of the dishes on the menu that could be made vegan, and there were several. We really enjoyed the fresh and friend spring rolls, a garlic and vegetable dish, massaman and panang curries.

Definitely Go! - Edit
My fiancé loves the Panang curry with tofu. The pad Thai (without egg) was also delicious! Very kind staff and relaxing atmosphere. The tofu appetizer was also very good.

A few veganizable options - Edit
Thai hut is a meat-centric place but has several items they can veganize on request. Just be sure to make it clear that you don’t want fish sauce, oyster sauce, shrimp paste, egg, or meat. When I was placing my order this time, the gentleman cheerfully said he could make their noodle dishes vegan, but then asked if I want eggs, saying that “some vegans say eggs are OK,” so a little extra clarity couldn’t hurt here.
Read moreThe pad Thai with tofu and the lard nah with veggies (both ordered without fish sauce, egg, etc) were satisfactory.
Unfortunately their take-out containers are far from eco-friendly, so consider dining in or bring your own containers if you can.

We ordered the curry but the waiter went to ask if it was in fact vegan. It was not but the chef came out to recommend tasty items he could make vegan. It was a fun experience with friendly people and tasty food.

We ordered the cashew tofu and they made my husband a vegetable lo-mein style meal. Everything was fresh and delicious! They also have a vegan box with lots of goodies on their lunch menu.

Vegan Sushi and Thai food - Edit
I am happy to report it says "vegan" on the sushi menu that is vegan. The waitress made to clear there is no fish sauce, oyster sauce, etc in the vegan dishes. The fried rice dishes and the stir fry dishes on the Thai menu can be made vegan on request. Tofu is available either steamed or fried. Glad to see this vegan friendly place in the San Luis Valley.
