A great little place for our date night, and we loved the whole concept. Great food, amazing cocktails, lovely service. The music was also really great, and we were so happy to find a link to their playlist. Really hope to come back for another visit before leaving Rio, because I want to try more of the menu.

Comida Maravilhosa! Best Tofu I've ever had! - Edit
Since there were five of us, we got to sample many dishes. What I love the most is having a place with extensive variety that is 100% vegan and 100% organic. Each tofu and Tempe dish was flavored and cooked differently. My friends and I are SOS free for the most part, and they were able to accommodate that using less soil and salt, without compromising any flavor. The tofu that they had to accompany the Burmese dish was the best spice tofu I've ever had.

Furthermore, thanks for noticing our effort to offer the best service with a varied and tasteful vegan and organic menu over your 3 visits.
Unfortunately some people like the previous reviewer judge us by one dish and one experience only, not really trying to improve his/her own experience by giving feedback onsite nor wanting to be happy. But only criticizing, with no appreciation nor empathy for all it's involved to keep a vast plant forward menu in Rio, with a staff that gets constant feedback for improvement and growth.

Not sure where all these reviews about great service came from, but the service was somewhere between lacklustre and poor on my visit. For a supposedly ‘upscale’ restaurant, I had to ask for water - and after finishing the sole dish I ordered, despite there being around 8 waiters standing around looking bored, had to go inside to request the bill (no one came to ask if I wanted anything else, or the bill - but they did remove the plate the moment I placed my fork down).
Read moreIn terms of the food - for the price (over A$20) I expected something better - Caesar Salad is all about the dressing, and this dressing tasted of nothing but salt and oil. The shiitake bacon was good, as was the perfectly seared tofu (for an extra R$14). And the tomatoes tasted distinctly off.
The staff were all standing around looking bored - the only time a waiter approached me was not to enquire whether I needed anything, or to make my dining experience more comfortable, but to try to sell me something from his side hustle. Incredible. I’ve had infinitely better service at the less expensive places I’ve dined. Never again.

Cons: Very poor lacklustre service, Average food, not tasty, some ingredients off, Very overpriced for what it is

Teva has great burgers, risoto, and a couple of very tasty fried appetizers.
Read moreThey change their menu maybe seasonally. Three years later and now they have delicious nachos, acarajé, seitan strips, and a delicious tofu main dish. Their fried potatoes with cheese sauce continue to be one of my favorites.
If you like mushrooms you’ll be in luck, as there are mushrooms in many dishes.
Also if you like food with a spicy kick, you’ll really like it. (This seems to have changed, and things feel less spicy now)
They now have a dessert that is gluten free and sugar free. It’s the second that they offer. This panna cotta is especially tasty!
The staff is very kind and attentive and the main chef, Biron, really wants to make sure every customer leaves happy with their experience.

In case the food is spicy to your taste or not to your liking, you can request to change it. A few items are spicy, and those are clearly marked on the menu when so on the subtitles. And because Brazilians don’t like spicy food in general, we keep spice levels low, and only the burger and hearts of palm are on the spicy side. We have a full a la carte menu 100% organic and made from scratch with over 25 options that changes constantly and not even 30% of the menu contains mushrooms.
We strive to offer the best to our clients. We are serious and cautious with what we deliver in terms of quality of the food, ambiance, service and customer care.

We got the mushroom carpaccio and their truffle fries as a starter. The carpaccio was a bit of a disappointment since the taste was very basic and simple. The truffle fries was amazing!
Read moreFor mains we got the ravioli and their seitan on risotto. The ravioli was way too salty and was definitely missing some green herbs on top and the seitan dish was just all very mushy and not really any different textures in the dish. Both dishes missed some play with colors (it all looked very brown/beige), some balance in flavour and textures.
Our startes came before our drinks - this always makes me a bit annoyed. And actually our mains came before we were done with the started and we still haven’t gotten the drinks yet at this point. A bit too speedy and not a lot of time to enjoy the food nor the drinks.
As a dessert we ordered the lava cake. I am not really sure it was a real lava cake? I feel like the melted chocolate was just added on top of the cake? 😅 but there was again something off with the taste and textures of the cake. The icecream was okay.
All in all, it was waaaay too pricey for what you get and the dishes are very basic (my peak of the evening was the truffle fries 😅), but I enjoyed to be at a full vegan place for once in Brazil 🌱
