Best vegan place on the island! Super chill and nice atmosphere and lighting on the rooftop seating, great and very friendly staff, reasonable prices and the food is very tasty! The menu changes daily.

Fully Vegan Yummy Snacks - Edit
Everything is fully vegan here, thank goodness. We went for dinner, even though it's really more of a snack bar vibe. You walk in and there's a small room with a bar to order at, and then you go upstairs to sit in their beautiful garden space. We had delicious quinoa bowls with very flavorful sautéed veggies. We also got potatoes and vegan mayo, which were crispy and tasty. I also got a slice of delicious chocolate cake. The woman at the bar was so kind and helpful. She explained everything on their menu of the day to help me decide what to get, even though I could tell they were pretty busy. My only complaint, and I know this is very American of me, but we didn't like sitting near people that were smoking.

Beautiful garden and tasty food - Edit
The rooftop garden is incredible and the perfect setting to enjoy some delicious food. The staff was warm and it has a great atmosphere. The menu changes daily but we had the hummus and breadsticks and a brownie. The entree that day was a barbecue jackfruit plate - yum! The mojitos were also tasty! I’m sad I only found this place late in my trip but hope to go one more time before we leave!

This place is super fun! Has a beautiful rooftop garden that overlooks the ocean, and there was a live DJ when we went. Food was delicious, though they only have a few options, would highly recommend!

Read moreThe owner is a super friendly, heart-warming Person we will never forget! The food is so yummy...you can get Potatoes with dip, Tacos with Guacamole, a Bowl and anything else...
Also you can get there a Coffee with Plant-Milk and a vegan Cake.
The few tables are on a rooftop that looks like Garden Eden. I've never sawn such a beautiful place. We didn't want to leave, but we will be right back soon!

Food: On an island where vegetarian and especially vegan options seem to often be an afterthought, it was truly wonderful to have vegan food cooked by someone who knows how to do it right. The menu seems to change frequently but everything we tried was absolutely phenomenal. Terra Fogo is a must stop for vegetarians or vegans visiting Sao Miguel.
Read moreAtmosphere: Has a bit of a vegan social club vibe - when we visited, there was a DJ playing and some other patrons were mingling and dancing. Many seemed to know each other. Children and well-behaved dogs were present. The rooftop terrace is beautiful but seating seemed a bit limited.

Read moreWe just want to let you know that the day you were at Terra Fogo it was our re-opening after 2 months closed for improvements and maintenance.
There were more people then usual and we also put less tables to give space for people to dance, since the idea was a re-open party 🥳
About the menu, we already have all the options of the day with the ingredientes and price written on the wall 😊

The only vegan place on the island is a delight. The menu is very short, but who cares when everything is so good! We ate in the gorgeous rooftop garden, sheltered under an awning from the Azorean rain.
Read moreWe chose two of the three small dishes, hummus and fava beans, followed by bowls which were packed with too many ingredients to list. Dessert was the best carrot cake I've ever had.
We'd be back but sadly they're not open on the remaining two days of our holiday.

Amazing vegan restaurant - Edit
This was such a cool place with a beautiful and relaxing rooftop garden. The owners make a vegan meal from scratch every night so there is no menu or other options. We had a lentil pasta with butternut squash sauce with mushrooms and sweet potatoes. It was absolutely delicious and filling. The owners are very kind and eco-friendly and are working on going zero waste. Can't wait to come back and see what's for dinner! Try the house cocktail with vodka and fresh ginger, lime, and mint and don't forget a brownie for dessert!

Nice small Café in Sao Roque. Only pure Vegan Cafe on the whole Island (09/2023). Just a few food options, but all very delicous. Friendly staff and a really nice top roof area. Fair prices. Like!

Terra Fogo offers little vegan snacks that are really yummy, the garden is so beautiful and the owner is pure love and soul - amazing! We wanted to come again but couldn't make it😒Next time on São Miguel we will return to this happy place!

We looked forward to lunch here and were so disappointed that only snacks were available. But the staff were really friendly and even whipped up a toast that wasn’t on the menu yet. We had two toasts which were super tasty and fresh. Also had delicious roasted potatoes with yummy aioli. Great drink selection and free infused water. Park at the church across the way.

My lunch here was the best vegan food I had in 3 weeks traveling around the Azores! I ordered the guacamole which is served with what seem to be house made crispy tortillas. Also had the Thai larb which is made with soy mince (in place of traditional pork) - this dish is AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS. The staff are super friendly and the rooftop garden oasis is beautiful. A must visit if you are in Ponta Delgada area!

Beautiful little vegan cafe with a large garden in the back. Perfect for a vegan snack after a hike or a beach day. Everything was really tasty and the garden has a nice atmosphere.
