Went to this cafe to check out the coveted vegan conchas and other pastries but was informed that they no longer sell vegan food options. It seemed busy and likely has good coffee, but this is no longer a vegan-friendly destination.

Most of the pastries are vegan here, and it’s connected to wonderful Vroman’s Books.
Read moreThey have vegan cookies, conchas, brownies, and more. So far I have enjoyed the lavender tahini cookie and the orejas.
At first, they didn’t label anything as vegan and you had to ask, now they put a green V on some of the labels but not all of the vegan things so definitely ask a staff member. I’m guessing they think people wouldn’t buy things if they labeled everything that is vegan clearly… When I went today, there were three vegan shelves, and one non-vegan shelf.
Pros: Most pastries are vegan, Connected to a great bookstore.
Cons: Labeling is inconsistent, you have to ask.
