Vegan Asian food with tons of options - Edit
My fiance and I shared sushi Combo A (28 pieces) and A18, which is gluten duck in red curry with pineapple, peppersband tomato. The service was pretty bad. The server clearly didn't care to be there, which is too bad because it appears to be a family-run business. She didn't care to help us with anything or even clear a plate or ask if we were ok. I know this is how service seems to be now, but it's a shame.
Read moreThe sushi was good. I never liked fish when I ate meat but my partner said the salmon was very similar to the real thing.
I really liked the curry. It didn't come with rice (or she just couldn't have been bothered to bring it?) So I asked for some. It was creamy and flavourful but not too heavy and the mock duck was nice.
I wouldn't go out of my way to sit in here again but I would definitely order takeout.
Pros: Vegan and vegetarian options, Cute atmosphere, Taste of food
Cons: Service, Location (very busy), Parking

Never Dissapoints - Edit
I’ve been eating here for years and the food never disappoints! I particularly love the crispy wonton, crispy avocado roll and sweet potato rolls.

So good! - Edit
I ordered a portion of the sweet and sour fried chicken and it was incredible. Fantastic sauce, and great meaty texture. Tons of vegan options. Also ordered the beef skewers, personally they weren't my taste but again great texture and I'm sure the sauce would be beloved by many. Rice was great. PLENTY of fantastic options.

The best vegan sushi I've ever had, and a beautiful restaurant too! - Edit
All I can say is WOW. This place rules, and I legitimately wish I lived in Markham now just so I could access the food here all the time.
Read moreMy boyfriend and I went here THREE times over the course of our 3-day trip down to Markham... which means yeah, we went daily. It was worth it. If you're in the Markham region (or Toronto, as I think there is a second location there), then you have to go.
So, right off the bat the restaurant is super pretty on the inside. It had nice, chill lighting and I loved the way they decorated the place. The staff were all very calm and friendly, and peaceful music was quietly playing overhead. Extremely relaxing vibes, so I'd say it's a wonderful place to go to to destress or to bring a date!
The menu is HUGE. I was in awe at how many options there were. So, obviously there's sushi, but they have lots of other Japanese foods as well (like soy katsu, teriyaki "beef", udon, and more). We ordered "Combo A" first, and it is such an amazing deal for the amount of food you get. All the sushi within was delicious, and I especially liked the sashimi options and the mock shrimp nigiri. On another trip, we both got "Bento A" so we could try their veg. beef teriyaki and their tempura, and it was SO good! The beef teriyaki sauce was incredible and the "beef" itself had a lovely chew to it. On the side, I ordered the assorted mushroom miso soup--which to be frank was the most lackluster item I ordered from their menu, but *even then* it was extremely pleasant, just a bit unsalted for a miso soup.
I also ordered their vegan unagi on its own, as I used to be a huge unagi fan and so was curious to see how it was. It was delicious, and really made my day. I missed that flavour and I can vouch that it replicated it extremely well. I think it was made out of a mushroom, maybe oyster? Texture and flavour was extremely on point!
All in all, you HAVE to go here if you're in the area and like sushi/sashimi/Japanese foods in general. I can't wait for when I get the chance to go again!
Pros: Incredible tasting vegan sashimi and sushi, Large variety of Japanese foods, Beautiful interior with friendly staff

Excellent food, not too expensive - Edit
We ate the sweet and sour soy "chicken", pineapple fried rice and then tempura vegetables. Happy with all of our choices, we thought the pricing was fair. Some ambient music would have been a nice touch.

Great sushi and Asian dishes - Edit
A nice selection of fake meat/fish/seafood sushi and Asian dishes. The sushi were incredibly fresh and the prices were fair considering the portions. Be careful as not all the dishes are vegan but it’s easily identifiable and only a few are vegetarian. The restaurant in itself also had a nice vibe. Definitely would recommend.

Best vegan sushi - Edit
This restaurant is very vegan friendly. PETA approved. Most of their dishes are vegan and only few items contain eggs. Mention that you are vegan and they are going to accommodate. Friendly service.
Read moreFake salmon tastes like the real deal (to be fair all salmon is fake anyways). A la cart items can be a bit pricey. I suggest that you stick to bento boxes. Complimentary tea.
Overall great place for vegan sushi.

Vegetarian sushi? Yes please! - Edit
One of the food places in town that serves vegan sushi and other food items that taste good. The portions are just right and the quality is quite good. Been coming here for a while before and during COVID and it is a place vegetarians should support. Friendly workers and cool atmosphere

Amazing vegan sushi! - Edit
We went here for sushi and got a bowl of their faux duck soup as well. Everything was delicious and the majority of their menu was vegan. They had tons of different delicious fake meat options. The few things that weren't vegan were marked on the menu so that they're easily visible.

I have been going to Tenon for years now, and every time I go I have an amazing meal experience. I love everything (vegan) on the menu. It has a very tiny amount of vegetarian options (that has dairy) but it is a mostly vegan menu. I crave this place!!

Better than most regular sushi places! - Edit
This place is amazing. Rolls are delicious and well prepared. Pricing is similar to a regular sushi place. One of the only places I've seen vegan sashimi, and it's delicious. Definitely go for their speciality rolls, you won't regret it!

The menu was so varied we couldn't believe it was all vegetarian (and mostly vegan) until we double checked with the waitress. We ordered a feast and devoured it so fast we forgot to take pictures for the record.
