Great food and tea 🍵 - Edit
I had the vegan cheeseburger. It was more like a sandwich not a burger but it was still very delicious and flavorful. The food came out very fast too. The genmaicha tea I had was also very good. A little pricey but expected for DuPont area.

Uses Shared Surfaces and Utensils - Edit
Ordered the vegan burger, then stood there watching them place it in the same grill as different animal products. The bun was out on the grill in the same spot chicken had just been removed from, and he used his hands to push a sausage down, then picked the bun up. Used the same spatula that was used on the chicken for the burger. I asked if they don’t keep vegetarian items separate and was met with a shrug. I will avoid this place.

Tasty - Edit
I enjoyed the vegan cheeseburger (made from beets), sweet potato miso side and cole slaw. Also enjoyed the lovely jasmine tea with boba. I got it delivered through Uber Eats so I can’t speak to the establishment itself.

Big servings, warm and cozy upstairs seating, creative dishes and tons of veggies. A few dedicated vegan options but lots of flexibility.

Cozy and peaceful retreat - Edit
I was pleased to find Teasism in the DuPont Circle neighborhood. They have an extensive menu for tea, and sadly, a less extensive food menu. However, the food they offer is delicious. I got the Indian curry bowl, and it was so good and packed with veggies. Their atmosphere is relaxing; they have a nice space to relax and escape from the city for a little bit.

Does Amazing Job! - Edit
A fun, eclectic eatery with a good tempeh selection and good bubble tea. For non-vegans, there are nice condiment toppings like the Mayo that complement the tempeh on the burger very nicely. The mochi selection was a little underwhelming; I got one covered in seeds (not my cup of tea) and when I asked for a different variety, they said that was all they had.

Great Eats - Edit
This is a great spot for a quick bite of healthy food. The service is very friendly and the food is delicious. They also have a wide selection of tea, as you would expect from the name.

heaven - Edit
I found this restaurant by mistake. I was inside native foods , another restaurant I found on happy cow and was unimpressed with their menu. The menu was full of veganized versions of unhealthy food I would avoid anyway, meatball grinders full of bastardized soy and wheat products . Another customer saw me struggling with the menu and sent me to teaism. I picked up the lentil soup and sweet potato salad. Real foods, really flavorful. I recommend this to any vegan. I caution it is not an all vegan, but what they do offer is far better than unhealthy spins on food true vegans want to avoid.

Great food and tea - Edit
This place offers excellent tea and food. You order at the counter and bring the food to your own table. Many of the selections are not vegetarian (and hence I give this place only 4 cows), but the vegan selections they do have are top notch--healthy and delicious.

Teaism rocks! - Edit
An oasis of tea and sanity in the Starbucks capital of the US (yes, more 'bucks than in Seattle). Too many teas to count; amazing selection of rare Asian and Asian-influenced entrees and sides; almost too many choices for a vegetarian. All this plus tons of personality. A wonderful Washinton insider haunt in every respect. AND you MUST try a salty oat cookie...!
