Below average food, long wait - Edit
We waited around 40 minutes for our food to arrive, and when it did some things were missing and the taste really wasn't there. We won't be going back.

Such a cute wee cafe, very friendly owners, the food was reasonably priced and also delicious. Lots of options and good portion sizes. The coffee was great too! We are so happy we stopped through here! The BLT was fantastic as were the tacos. A must go to if you are in Rotorua!

Amazing food! - Edit
The food here was absolutely amazing! Myself and my boyfriend both had the seitan wraps and chocolate and raspberry muffins. The owner was also super lovely and very accommodating for our dietary needs! She also gave us a few tips and advice for making our own vegan food! Highly recommend this place to anyone (vegan or not)

A perfect gem of a restaurant - Edit
Tea and Happiness is a perfect gem of a restaurant. Any city worldwide would be lucky to have such a friendly, delicious and creative restaurant call it home but even in Rotorua, a beautiful place with so much to do, we were totally drawn in to the warm community atmosphere and delicious menu of Tea and Happiness. The proprietor was an extremely warm and helpful person, the kind of person you'd love to call your friend after eating here once. The salad bar is so much more than I could imagine a salad bar would be, with inventive and colourful ingredients and many hot offerings. The tea menu was extensive and the serve-yourself, always-ready pots of chai and green tea were perfect touches. We had the 3-dish sampler, 2 mains, and dessert, and almost wanted to get another plate of salads because it was so difficult to choose. Servings are generous! We just ate enough for about 4 people between the 2 of us. I can't recommend Tea and Happiness enough. If you are vegan or vegetarian and find yourself in Rotorua this is your happy place.

So great! - Edit
We were thrilled to see a 100% vegan place in Rorotua and made sure to stop by. We had the burrito and falafel wrap, a tea and ice coffee and a chocolate muffin. Everything was so delicious so much so that we got another muffin to go! The owner was also really lovely (feel really bad now that I didn't get her name) and talked to us about being a vegan business in a smaller town. Even though its a bit out of the centre it's definitely worth a visit!!! No photos because we were too excited to eat the food.

🔟 out of 🔟 from me.

Cons: Not a lot of seating. , Unfortunately very hot inside, but don't , let that stop you enjoying their food.

AMAZING, a must go. - Edit
ALL VEGAN deliciousness, from the classic yumy salads with lentils. Quiona. Zoodles, nut dressings, salad bowls, burgers and falafel wraps to amazingly unique, different and wonderfully creative takes on non vegan classics, i had the 'chicken mayo' sandwich, and my partner loaded fries with incredible fake cheese. I dont usually like meat substitues but it was so fresh and healthy and looks great so i got it with no regrets! The staff are fantastic and are so accomadating to whatever you want, and deliver their food and service with such passion...also what a selection of sweet treats 😌. The place is cute and cosy just outside of town with poetry, spirit cards and good vibes....the only plant based pure vegan place in town. You must go!!!

Great food, lovely service - Edit
Dropped by here today, just at closing time...many restaurants might make you feel unwelcome if you show up 2 minutes before closing. But we were treated like old friends. The food was delicious, fresh and home made. The prices were fair and the portions were good. The desserts were fantastic! Lovely people too. Very highly rated.
