Amazing cafe in a beautiful spot - Edit
The owner/waitress is so sweet super knowledgeable. The carrot and ginger cake is incredible. They always have a vegan cake and soy milk for hot drinks. Cappuccino was super tasty too. Will be back and absolutely would recommend

We came there for food but the only vegan options are quinoa salad and gazpacho. I didn’t try as I wanted to eat sth warm.
Read moreSo I only had carrot cake - that carrot cake was very delicious! Would always come for cake and coffee.
But not really for vegan food.
For vegetarians it might be better. The location is very cosy and beautiful and gives an extra star.

Disappointed not to have more vegan options - Edit
The place is very cute and well decorated. However I found it disappointing not to have more of one vegan option on the menu, the quinoa salad and it was still half frozen.
Read moreThe staff is kind thought, she told me it was breakfast time (at 1PM...) that's why it wasn't quite ready yet and offered me a plum juice.
Pros: Kind staff, Very cute place under the mosque

Disappointed :( - Edit
Was really hoping this place would live up to expectation but was really disappointing. The place looks really nice, but aside from the peppers which was good, the quinoa salad was just quinoa, sweetcorn and kidney beans - nothing else, no dressing, no seasoning, I almost wonder if they forgot? It was all bland and so we left it. Hope they sort it out as it’s the only vegetarian restaurant

Fresh veggie food in Gjirokaster - Edit
We ordered two Quinoa Salads and the fresh homemade juice which was Plum! super good! The quinoa bowls came with lots of beans and mixed vegetables. It was nice to have a chance from traditional Albanian food.
Read moreThere were loads of cakes but only one vegan half muffin and it looked quite small for 350 lek so we didn't try it.
The quinoa salads were 500 lek and homemade juice 250 lek, which was well priced!

Not for vegans - Edit
Find it really odd that a fully vegetarian place has absolutely no options for Vegans. I asked, nothing is vegan. Shame! Tried to give 1* but it only allows 2* as a minimum.

Hi there,
Read moreJust been there today and there is on the 7 items quite a few vegans and one that can be made vegan.
Quinoa salad, vegetable soup (today is lentils), roasted vegetables, stuffed peppers (not available today), grilled aubergines.
She also make homemade juice (peach today). She would like to try vegan cake at least one and hummus too!
She is super nice. I advised people to go!😄

I asked the owner yesterday and she said nothing is vegan. Doesn't instill me with any confidence 🥲 I was there at around 11am though not sure if it's a different menu at that time.

Good options - Edit
We had a great lunch here - quinoa salad, green salad, stuffed peppers and byrek. We have been in Albania for 3 weeks and outside of Tirana, this is the only vegetarian place we found so it was great to visit. Unique location too!

Nice environment - Edit
Nice restaurant in a cozy place under the grand mosque. We came early so the lunch options weren’t ready, but they made us gazpacho and spinach burek. The soup was a bit too bready, overall nice food though.

Great typical vegetarian restaurant! - Edit
Really quaint location, with delicious food! I am vegan and they had a great number of options for me: vegetable soup, spinach byrek, 2 types of salads, peppers, eggplant, and gazpacho. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the vegetables had been grown in their local gardens!! It was awesome to find a vegetarian restaurant in Gjirokastër that served Albanian typical food, so you don’t feel like you’re missing out on the local cuisine. Staff was super helpful with letting me know what was vegan from their menu!! Definitely a must eat for vegetarians and vegans visiting (but, I will say that I went with some non-veg family, and they didn’t miss the meat at all! Everyone gives thumbs up)

The food was tasty and they have few vegan options.
Read moreBesides the vegetarian restaurant, they have a book shop and a music tunnel with traditional music from Albania.
The music is relaxing and the place, hidden under the mosque, has a view to the old town.
