Tasty, but it could be better - Edit
I got the vegan sampler without butter and it was ok. I wish the waitstaff had explained what i was eating because i couldn’t tell what was what. It’s very simple- simple flavors, simple foods, but satisfying, i also wish they had told me that they substitute the butter with oil, lots of oil. Oh, well…

Careless & indifferent staff served me non-vegan pierogi - Edit
I had the same experience as an earlier commenter, who was served non-vegan pierogi. Both of the servers seemed annoyed they had to interact with customers, and completely indifferent that they gave me non-vegan food.
Read moreI ordered a vegan pierogi sampler. When they brought out my plate, it included a couple of non-vegan dips in little bowls (sour cream and something else). I asked if they were vegan, and the server looked at me like I was an idiot. "No, it's sour cream." Then she took the little cups of dips away.
Luckily, I cut the pierogi in half as I was eating them. Once I got to a non-vegan one, I realized right away when I cut into it with fork. I showed the server, and she said it was sweet cheese. She sent it back, and had it remade, which took a really long time. She dropped it off at the table, and only once we were done eating did she barely mutter an apology. No discount was offered for the mistake, or the long wait to re-make the dish.
A sampler plate of pierogi plus a bottle of tea came to $20. I wouldn't go back.

They served me non-vegan items, as well. It was a to-go order, and I live too far to return the items. No apology, no credit, terrible customer service. Haven't been back since.

So good! - Edit
What a gem. Their pierogi are delicious and clearly marked vegan. Their website makes it easy to order online for takeout. We go out of our way for this place when we have a craving.

A rare find! - Edit
How often do you come across an authentic pierogi shop that has multiple clearly marked vegan options? These are delicious, too. Cozy and welcoming inside, and you can even buy frozen pierogi to go! I ordered a vegan sampler and it came with some caramelized onions and arugula as garnish. Simple and tasty!

They served me cheese and didn't care - Edit
Was served non vegan pierogis. Staff wouldn't believe me, argued with me, and they made me bring up my whole plate where u can clearly see sweet cheese. They gave me a new order of them but the damage was done as I already ate a potato/cheese, I was so upset and sick. I refuse to come back here. I understand mistakes can happen but their attitude towards me was unforgivable, they didn't care. Fair warning to other vegans.

Lots of veg*n pierogi options! - Edit
Hurray for HappyCow! I didn't know Tata's did vegetarian cabbage rolls.
Read more4 stars because veg*n friendly Polish cuisine is hard to find. Tata's has 9 vegetarian flavors including 6 vegan ones, clearly labeled, plus 4 flavors of dessert pierogi (2 vegan). It looks like they've taken bacon from a standard garnish to an option, but I would ask. The online menu offers a vegan or vegetarian sampler (10 pierogi) so that's handy shorthand. Otherwise you order in groups of 12 pierogi with up to 2 flavors per dozen.
In addition to the cabbage rolls and hunter's stew options I didn't know about, they also offer vegetarian dumplings (potato or potato/wheat), served with butter.
The pierogi are delicious and greasy (this is comfort food). Probably my favorite sauerkraut filling yet, and the tiny chocolate pierogi are super-rich (tastes like Nutella?) - they're about the size of a 50 cent piece and I wouldn't eat more than 1 or 2 at a time.
Nice interior; friendly and helpful staff. A chalkboard above the counter announces the menu with the same information presented on a larger chalkboard on the wall that hides the route to the restroom.
Pros: so many pierogi flavors!, Vegan items clearly labeled

Vegan pierogis are labeled on the app. I recommend the potato and onion! Also if you have leftovers/ get it delivered, they taste a lot better pan fried!

Delicious Vegan Pierogi - Edit
My go-to order here is the Lentil and Potato&Onion pierogi. You can buy them freshly cooked, or frozen to cook at home. Make sure to emphasize vegan on your order as some workers at taking order may not be familiar and include bacon and sour cream toppings. I've had their vegan gloabki, potato pancakes and bigos (hunter's stew) as part of their Box deliveries during COVID19, and all was delicious. Hope those pop up on the regular menu as permanent vegan options.
