Tasty - Edit
Okay I was excited because I only read the one review and it said they were vegan and ate the naan. So I was super sad when they told me it wasn’t vegan (because let’s be honest, it never is). But everything was really really good. Samosa chaat and two different curries were super flavorful and yummy

Excellent vegan curries! Friendly, helpful staff - Edit
We did takeout of Tofu Saag and Alu Bhanta (rice included in each curry price) and they were excellent! I mentioned at pickup that I would like to have low-oil food and was reassured that the Tofu Saag had very little oil (veg broth and tomatoes cooked in big batches for 4 hours). However, the eggplant in the Alu Bhanta is fried so better to choose a different vegan curry next time: Alu Cauli Matta; Chana Masala; or Yogi Tarkari (marked vegan on their paper menu but not yet updated on their website menu).
Read moreThe only improvement is when I call in my order next time, I want to ask if I can bring my own pyrex containers. I get creeped out by getting hot, liquid food in plastic containers. If they dont allow it, we could eat at the restaurant but I dont know if they have outside seating.
Note from a while later:
Went back again and ordered two more vegan curries--mixed veg and and the cauliflower one. Basically we're same thing but the cauliflower one had a few.more pieces of cauliflower. So, it looks like you only really have two vegan curry choices--the tofu saag (which is very light on spinach) and a mixed veg curry, both in that tomato sauce.

delicious - Edit
Great flavours and friendly/helpful service. There are about four marked vegan curries on the menu. We had tofu saag, the cauli potato & peas curry, samosa chaat and pakoras.

Delicious food in a warm environment - Edit
Our second time this week at Taste of the Himalayas, and the experience was equally as good. We started with pakoras (crispy vegetable fritters) and garlic and rosemary naan, then indulged in alu chana matar (potato, cauliflower and pea curry) and mismas (vegetable curry.) All were delicious. We would make this a regular stop if we lived closer, but plan to return on our next visit to the area.
