Terrible

Absolute worst experience. Do not eat here!

Went in an hour and a half before closing. We told them we wanted “butter chicken”, which we’ve only ever ordered from here MANY times before.

They mentioned several dishes they already had prepared. We declined those and that we were going to order butter chicken. They said it would take some time to prepare that. We were OK with waiting and told them we were dining in but if they could prepare the dishes in to-go plates. They must not have heard we were dining in part.

They wrapped the to-go plates in Saran Wrap, which was odd. When we opened our plates they were all different plates. Definitely not the butter chicken we’ve ordered before. These plates also had almonds? Never seen that before on this particular plate.

Our best guess is that they tried pawning off old (not what we ordered) dishes so they wouldn’t go to waste and thought we were taking them home so we wouldn’t have noticed.

Total came out $101. We asked for a refund because none of the plates were correct and when we questioned the plates, they literally told us that “this food was not for you, go to some place fancy or McDonalds” and that he was from the Punjabi region, whatever that meant.

These people are a joke and must be under different management from 2019 (who were more friendly and prepared correct dishes).

We will definitely never eat here again and won’t recommend it to anyone.

Pros: The Butter chicken was OK

Cons: Staff if very rude, Gave us wrong dishes, Told us to go some place fancy

Taste of India, Marshall TX

Not a fancy spot. But...the food is absolutely awesome and service is good. We live a good 2 hrs away, but anytime we are near there we stop....never been disappointed. Right near the highway....and nearly next door to Arya Motel...$35/ night decent rooms. Marshall has many amazing restaurants....antique stores.
Lovely place...an hour west of Shreveport LA.

Pros: Excellent food, Decent prices, Good portions

Cons: Atmosphere not great
